Kaddafi: Jews, Christians Should Also Be Allowed Into Mecca
18:30 Apr 11, '06 / 13 Nisan 5766
(IsraelNN.com) Contrary to current Islamic practice, which forbids non-Muslims from entering Mecca, Libyan leader Moammar Kaddafi on Monday said that Jews and Christians should be allowed to worship in the Saudi Arabian city, home of Islam's holiest site. The ban on non-Muslims in Mecca should be amended to keep out only "heretics and the impure," of which the Jews and Christians are not a part, Kaddafi said, as they "believe in God." Specifically, Kaddafi called on Muslim religious leaders to allow US President George W. Bush to pray in the main mosque in Mecca, if he is not "impure" enough to rule out eating and befriending him.
Kaddafi made the comments on Monday in Mali, following a joint prayer with the leaders of Mali, Sierra Leone, Niger, Mauritania and Senegal on the occasion of the Islamic prophet Mohammed's birthday

Pope may visit Israel next year
Nov. 17, 2005 20:38 | Updated Nov. 17, 2005 20:45
Israel can begin readying for another papal visit. Pope Benedict XVI responded positively to an invitation extended to him by President Moshe Katsav when the two met on Thursday at the Vatican.
It was the second invitation to the pope to visit Israel. He had received a written invitation from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in July.
Katsav told reporters that the visit may take place as early as next year.
If indeed this does occur, it will be the second papal visit to Israel in a six year span.
The late Pope John Paul II made an historic journey to Israel in 2000, visiting Yad Vashem and the Western Wall.
Judge's Transcendental Meditation Sentence Crossed the Line, Attorney Says
By Allie Martin and Jenni Parker
April 11, 2006
AgapePress) - An attorney with the American Family Association Center for Law & Policy (AFA Law Center) says a circuit judge in St. Louis, Missouri, may have overstepped his authority when he sentenced a woman who plead guilty to voter fraud and drug possession to take part in a transcendental meditation program.
When Michelle Robinson pleaded guilty to 13 violations of election law and possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe, Judge David Mason sentenced her to four years of probation for all charges. He also ordered her to get training in the Hindu practice known as transcendental meditation.
AFA Law Center attorney Brian Fahling is troubled by the judge's sentence. "Even if you don't regard transcendental meditation as a religion within the constitutional sense," he explains, "what you have here is a judge ordering an individual to engage in a practice that does have a spiritual dimension to it, and it intrudes on the heart and the mind."
Comments: Yes, but what do these stories have in common? The answer is ecumenism gone wild. While I certainly don’t feel that Christians are called to hate Jews, Muslims, Hindus or others, neither should we be embracing the spirit of ecumenism sweeping the world. Whether it is the silly (A Cole Porter concert in the Fellowship Hall), the inexcusable (although the judge here is no more wrong than those of his brethren who daily sentence members to indoctrination into twelve step cults. God as we understood him, indeed. How about God as He has revealed himself? ), the well-intentioned (Papal State Visits, but we all know which road is paved with good intentions, don’t we?) or the truly dangerous (Kaddafi’s “worship at Mecca” proposal.) the world is caught up in an ecumenical fervor heretofore unseen in human history. This will soon lead to the coming One-World worship of the Beast promoted by the False Prophet.
Revelation 13:11-15 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Exodus 20:2-6 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Moslem Terror Chasing Out 1,000 Christian Arabs a Year
14:05 Apr 12, '06 / 14 Nisan 5766
(IsraelNN.com) About 1,000 Christian Arabs flee Arab-dominated areas because of Arab terrorism and harassment, according to Reuters News Agency. Examples were cited of Moslems beating up Christians, uprooting their olive trees and scrawling graffiti that show nuns being raped.
Hardest hit has been the Christian community of Bethlehem where tourism has declined since Arabs began the Oslo War attack against Israel.
Holy Land's Christians caught in midst of conflict
By Megan Goldin
Tue Apr 11, 9:09 PM ET
BETHLEHEM, West Bank (Reuters) - A 76-year-old Greek Orthodox monk is beaten up by villagers, his carefully tended olive trees are uprooted and his isolated West Bank monastery is defaced with graffiti depicting nuns being raped.
The land of Jesus's birth is not always an easy place for Christians to live in 2006.
The population of Christians in the Holy Land, particularly in the Palestinian territories, is dwindling as more and more leave for a better life abroad, turning the community into a tiny minority squeezed between Muslims and Jews.
The traditional merchant class, heavily dependent on tourist money, has suffered a recession since a Palestinian uprising began in 2000 and Israel walled off Bethlehem with a barrier.
The Israelis say it is designed to stop suicide bombers and Palestinians call it a land grab.
"(Christians) are suffering from both Islamic extremists and Israeli security concerns," said Canon Andrew White, a former Middle East envoy for the Archbishop of Canterbury, the leader of the Anglican Church.
120 Christian Homes In Jerusalem Area To Be Demolished By Israeli Soldiers
by Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions Tuesday, May. 06, 2003 at 1:18 AM
Beit Sahour, West Bank October 6, 2002
Israeli courts have upheld an Israeli Army order to demolish 120 newly built Palestinian homes in Beit Sahour, a Palestinian town adjacent to Bethlehem. Residents today demonstrated against the order and launched an international campaign to save their homes.
The new homes were built by a group of limited income Palestinian Christian families who banded together as the Arab Orthodox Housing Project to build a new life. They obtained a 99-year lease from their Church, the Greek Orthodox Church, 22 years ago and then began the agonizing process of organizing and saving enough money to start construction.
"We were renters for 40 years," Dalal Awad, a mother of five told me. "We saved for 22 years and built this home with our neighbors. It cost $42,000. We built it with our hearts, our own labor. Now the Israelis want to kill our dream."
A year ago the first families moved in, even though Israel refused to provide electricity and the road to the homes was not completed. More than 40 families now live there. The entire project will house 850 people.
Hanan Bannourah, her father, 82, and her mother, 78, settled in March 2002, as did her brother's family of seven in a neighboring unit. "The Israelis bulldozed our first home in 1991. We saved and saved to build our new home." Then, at the end of May, Israeli police and soldiers told them they planned to destroy it.
Israeli courts recently rejected the residents' appeal. Now they will take the case before the Israeli Supreme Court.
"Israel wants to protect their settlers just over the hill [in Har Homa] says Ms. Bannourah. "They are trying to surround Bethlehem with their new settlements, and to cut it off from Jerusalem. They are trying to take over all of Palestine."
Comments: Matthew 24:9-10 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Forgotten in the stories of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict ore the area’s Christians, who are becoming victims of both sides. The Palestinians hate anyone who isn’t a Muslim, and the Jews’ attitudes toward Gentiles are no better. Reports of ill treatment of Christians by the IDF are more elusive, (Mostly they are reported by Israeli denials[1].), but incidents do happen. Support for Israel does not require us to believe Israel is perfect. The descendants of those who heard the Gospel preached first in Jerusalem are being squeezed out and many are moving here to the US. Let us remember to pray daily for millions of Christians persecuted for their faith around the world. While we still enjoy religious freedom here in this country, the day is coming when this will no longer be the case. Jesus’s words of Matthew 24:9-10 will come true here soon enough, and we have no guarantee of being Raptured out before this happens. In the meantime, remember:
Matthew 25:35-36 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Sec. forces on greater alert for Pessah
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Apr. 13, 2006 -- Police and security forces have deployed in greater numbers throughout Israel over the Pessah holiday.
They were charged with monitoring city centers, main roads, entertainment and tourism sites that were expected to receive many visitors as families enjoy the long weekend.
The Border Police were set to surround the borderline between Israeli and Palestinian territories, including the Jerusalem periphery, in order to enforce the closure that was placed over the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Going into the holiday, security forces knew of 78 planned attacks against Israel, including 16 specific alerts.
The security forces include thousands of policemen, Border Police and volunteers from the civil guard, Israel Radio reported.
Comments: An attack by Hamas during the Passover holidays would add fuel to the smoldering fires of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Every day I seem to post a story marking a milepost along the road to the war of Ezekiel 38, and this may well be another. An attack this weekend could escalate things out of control. Israel cannot afford another round of civilian casualties and when they retaliate the Arab world will blame Israel no matter what the provocation.
[1] Some Christians have been among those inconvenienced by Israel's construction of the security fence, but they have not been harmed because of their religious beliefs. They simply live in areas where the fence is being built. Like others who can show they have suffered some damage, Christians are entitled to compensation. And the fence does not have any impact on Christian holy places or their freedom of access to them. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/myths/mf18.html#s

Sharon declared permanently incapacitated
Source: Yahoo News
April 12, 2006 -- The Israeli Cabinet declared Prime Minister Ariel Sharon permanently incapacitated on Tuesday, officially ending his five-year tenure.
Sharon, 78, has been in a coma since he suffered a devastating stroke Jan. 4. His deputy, Ehud Olmert, immediately stepped in as his temporary replacement. Olmert has since won national elections as leader of the centrist Kadima Party, and has become the designated prime minister, assigned the task of forming a coalition government.
Tuesday's declaration was largely symbolic in nature, since Olmert has been Israel's de facto leader since January and medical experts believe Sharon's chances of recovery are extremely slim.
However, under Israeli law an ailing prime minister can only have a temporary replacement for up to 100 days before an official successor must be named. That deadline expires Friday, but because the weeklong Jewish Passover holiday begins Wednesday, the declaration of permanent incapacitation was moved up to Tuesday.
Sharon underwent a CT scan on Monday to determine the outcome of surgery last week to reattach a portion of his skull removed in previous surgery.
Hospital spokesman Ron Krumer said the scan revealed no change in his condition, which the hospital defines as "serious but stable," meaning that his life is not in immediate danger.
Comments: Ariel Sharon sustained an apparent deadly head wound. Just last week, he was operated on and part of his skull was re‑attached. He’s in a coma, but is being kept alive for reasons unknown to us. God holds Sharon’s breath of life; He can snuff it out if He wants to, but He hasn’t.
In 1999, the Reverend Jerry Falwell announced to a startled press that he believed the Antichrist will be a Jewish man currently alive at that time. He caused quite a furor among the Jews some of which accused him of anti-Semitism. He backtracked from his statement. Just think about though. Who else but a Jewish man would Israelis embrace as their Messiah once he has finally brought peace to the Holy Land? Many Bible prophecy authors, commentators and students think he will be a European and a sprinkling thinks he will be an Arab. When religious Jews were asked, “How would you recognize the Messiah?”, the predominate response was, “He would bring peace to Israel”. European, Arab or a Jew? The jury is still out on this one.
A miraculous recovery by Ariel Sharon would literally shake the Middle East like a magnitude 9.0 quake. Sharon is much revered by the Israelis and he was a formidable but respected foe of the Muslims. He used to be an intransigent warmonger, a bull in a china shop. His nickname was “The Bulldozer”. He was one mean tough hombre. Maybe due to his advanced years which mellowed him somewhat or maybe he grew weary of the constant bloodshed that in the past few years since he was elected prime minister, he started conceding land in exchange for a faint hope of peace and security. Many analysts who followed Sharon since the War of Independence of 1948 could not believe their ears and eyes when trying to dissect Sharon’s 180‑degree turnaround. If anyone could forge a comprehensive peace with the Arabs, he was the one. But alas, he lies in a comatose state in a hospital bed kept alive by life support equipment.
Revelation 13:[3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Verse 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Verse 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

April 12, 2006 -- Civil Aviation Authority officials on Monday announced a domestic airport will be constructed in Megiddo in cooperation with a number of authorities, including the Jezreel Valley Regional Council.
Officials report the airport will undoubtedly increase tourism to the Jezreel Valley and surrounding areas.
Comments: Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Armageddon is Greek for "Mount of Megiddo." This valley has seen more climactic battles than any other place on earth according to Philologos. Also according to Philologos, Napoleon stood at Megiddo before the battle that thwarted his attempt to conquer the East and rebuild the Roman Empire. Contemplating the enormous plain of Armageddon, Napoleon declared, "All the armies of the world could manoeuvre their forces on this vast plain."
Indeed, the kings (Revelation 16:12) of the east’s 200 million army could fit within the broad width and length of Megiddo with room to spare. (No need for a shoe horn here.) At first, the world’s armies will march toward Jerusalem to settle the Jewish Question once and for all and to challenge the authority of the Antichrist. After a fierce battle among themselves, when Heaven opens up and Jesus descends, they will stop killing each other and in unison turn their armaments against Christ. Their end will be swift as God’s Word kills them all. Justice will be served. The prayers (Revelation 6:10) of the martyred Tribulation saints will be answered at long last.
Psalms 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Verse 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Verse 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Verse 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Verse 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Verse 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Having the press report on the construction of a multi-million dollar airport at this particular location and at this juncture in time is a bit prophetic. It will be years before it will be completed and maybe just in time for the armies of the world to mobilize their long range missiles, jet fighters and Star Wars type laser cannons to confront the Lord Jesus Christ and His saints. The Battle of Armageddon is at least 7 years away, but the stage is being set for its occurrence.

Christians sue for right not to tolerate policies
Source: latimes.com
April 12, 2006 -- Ruth Malhotra went to court last month for the right to be intolerant.
Malhotra says her Christian faith compels her to speak out against homosexuality. But the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she's a senior, bans speech that puts down others because of their sexual orientation.
Malhotra sees that as an unacceptable infringement on her right to religious expression. So she's demanding that Georgia Tech revoke its tolerance policy.
With her lawsuit, the 22-year-old student joins a growing campaign to force public schools, state colleges and private workplaces to eliminate policies protecting gays and lesbians from harassment. The religious right aims to overturn a broad range of common tolerance programs: diversity training that promotes acceptance of gays and lesbians, speech codes that ban harsh words against homosexuality, anti-discrimination policies that require college clubs to open their membership to all.
The Rev. Rick Scarborough, a leading evangelical, frames the movement as the civil rights struggle of the 21st century. "Christians," he said, "are going to have to take a stand for the right to be Christian."
Comments: Christians are being muzzled more and more by the law and a politically correct (i.e. weak knee cowardly) society. Simply quoting truths from the Bible can get a believer into legal hot water. Intolerance of other faiths and people with an alternative sexual orientation are two contentious issues confronting believers today. To say that the gay/lesbian lifestyle is an abomination to God could elicit a summon to appear in court. Some employers have actually dismissed employees for making supposedly homophobic remarks. The alternative lifestyle is not a trendy fad that will come and go as the mini‑skirt once did. It’s here to stay until God finally judges the modern day sodomites. Ancient Sodom was destroyed by fire and brimstone; how can San Francisco and other brazen lairs for sodomites escape the same fate?
Christians who take a definitive stand against sin will increasingly be persecuted in the Western society. Since worldwide persecution of Christians is foretold in the Tribulation Period, it stands to reason that the persecution will begin on this side of the Rapture and intensify once the Church has been snatched away to Heaven.
The message is strong and clear to present day believers. Take a public stance against blatant sin and you may need the Holy Spirit to defend yourself in court or challenge your constitutional right to free speech. Do you have the stomach for it or the bottomless funds?
1 Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

12 April 2006 -- At a time when the European Union appears to be falling apart at its seams, European citizens and politicians are gradually turning to the leadership of one man for solutions.
Looking northward from his balcony at the Vatican must spur some disheartening, even frustrating, thoughts in the mind of Pope Benedict xvi. A bevy of problems are erupting across virtually the entire continent of Europe. Millions of rioters fill the streets in France. Germany is trying to prevent the same. Islam‘s imprint is intensifying in more than a few European nations. National economies are ailing. Added to all this, the pope is acutely aware that for years Europe has been deteriorating spiritually. Large factions of European society are no longer governed by a lucid moral compass.
It’s abundantly clear: economically, politically, socially, morally, religiously—Europe lacks leadership. As he surveys Europe’s ailing landscape today, the pope surely ponders the greatness of the Continent’s history, when it was heavily influenced and even dominated by the Roman Catholic Church. As the pontiff contrasts today’s Europe with the Europe of yesteryear, a solution to the Continent’s ailing condition must ring clear in his mind: Europe needs a dominant Vatican.

Radical Jews try to sacrifice goat on Temple Mount
Source: Jerusalem Post
12 April 2006 -- Several extremist right wing Jewish activists, in possession of a young goat, tried to force their way onto the Temple Mount on Wednesday to offer the animal as a sacrifice.
Comments: Jews haven’t sacrificed an animal on the Temple Mount in almost 2000 years. The reason being, there hasn’t been a Jewish Temple on the Mount since the Romans destroyed it in 70 AD. During the last seven years know as the tribulation, we know that the Jews will have their rebuilt Temple in place and will reinstate their animal sacrifices. For Christians, we know that Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for mankind but the Jews are trying to duplicate this forgiveness of sin and it is not necessary any longer. Passover is tomorrow evening for the Jews and one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar. It is also the day Jesus chose to give his life to save us. There are no animals required any longer; the blood on the cross is enough.
Joh 19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
19 ¶ And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Iran 1 step from atomic bomb
Source: WorldNetDaily
12 April 2006 -- Confounding the predictions of many Western analysts, Iran's announcement yesterday that it successfully enriched uranium was the third major development this year on the way to producing an atomic bomb, leaving only one more step.
That next development – metalizing the enriched uranium to fit it into a warhead – could come as soon as four months from now, says author Jerry Corsi, who has watched the predictions in his book "Atomic Iran" unfold since it was published one year ago.
Comments: Really there isn’t much to say that already hasn’t been said in this article. Iran is 4 months away from possibly having a nuclear bomb. The headlines are telling the story now. U.S. ATTACK ON IRAN MULLED FOR SUMMER
