Saudis to transfer $92 million to Palestinian Authority

Saudi Arabia announced Tuesday that they would transfer $92 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority. Their declaration of support for the PA comes after Russia said it would transfer $10 million, Iran $50 million, and Qatar an additional $50 million for a total of over $200 million.
After meeting with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, PA Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar said that the Saudis had agreed to give $92 million in aid to the Palestinians. He added that at the meeting the two had also discussed the collapsing Palestinian economy and ways of ending the new Hamas-led government's current international isolation, Israel Radio reported.
Comments: In the wake of this morning’s suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. This can only be viewed as condoning bad behaviour. Circumventing meaningful economic sanctions only encourages the new PA government in its policy of terror. It is interesting to note that many of these rogue nations are specifically named in Ezekiel 38, and I believe that the Ezekiel 38 war will arise from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Add to the mix a story I saw stating that the Saudis are now consulting with the Pakistanis on “defense matters.” (Read “nuclear weapons,”) There is no excuse for financially supporting Islamic terror, and the judgement of God will be swift and terrible.
Moussaoui's Mental Health Debated in Court

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The defense portrayed Zacarias Moussaoui as a delusional psychotic Tuesday who reversed tactics and strategy constantly, while a prosecutor pointed out how well the confessed Sept. 11 conspirator has controlled his behavior under the stress of being on trial for his life.
Moussaoui himself best captured the day in one of his shouted comments on leaving court for a break: "Crazy or not crazy? That is the question."
Defense attorney Gerald Zerkin set the day on a course few juries have seen: He opened the defense team's files to show how they concluded their own client cannot be believed.
Struggling to save Moussaoui's life, they claim he twice testified falsely to a greater role than he had in the Sept. 11, 2001, al-Qaida attacks in hope of achieving martyrdom through execution or enhancing his role in history...
The jury has found Moussaoui eligible for execution. Although Moussaoui was in jail on Sept. 11, 2001, the jury ruled that lies he told federal agents before 9/11 kept them from identifying and stopping some of the hijackers. The jury must choose between execution and life in prison.
Comments: Mentally ill or not, this man deserves the death penalty, if only because we cannot afford to have him disseminate his brand of hatred in a prison’s general population. He is unquestionably guilty of capital murder. He participated in a criminal conspiracy (Dare I call it an act of war?); three thousand people died as a result. He is, under our capital murder laws, just as guilty as the actual hijackers who have now received ultimate justice in a much sterner and higher Court. My only prayer for him is that before the sentence is carried out he would be introduced to the true Gospel and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Saviour before it is too late.

Chirac: Hamas must understand that violence is a dead end

French President Jacques Chirac criticized Hamas, saying in an interview published Wednesday that Hamas must continue to respect a truce with Israel and understand that "violence is a dead end" for the Palestinians.
"As of now, we call on Hamas to understand that the path of violence is a dead end, and to pursue its transition toward political action by continuing to respect the truce and committing to a process of renunciation of violence and recognition of Israel," Chirac said in the interview before embarking Wednesday on a two-day trip to Egypt.
Responding to Monday's suicide bombing in Tel Aviv, in which nine people were killed, a Turkish official said Tuesday that Hamas' statements on terrorist attacks are not helpful to the political process.
Comments: Either Chirac has no idea how prophetic his comments are or (not likely) he has been reading Ezekiel 38. The alliance is coming together rapidly, and Jordan will be dragged in, whether willingly or unwillingly.
The ironic thing is that the legitimate interests of the Palestinian people would be best served by peaceful integration into the democratic state of Israel.

House sale on Mount of Olives leaves trail of blood

April 18, 2006 -- As far as the Abu al-Hawa family is concerned, the sale of two floors of their home on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives was perfectly legitimate.
Muhammad Abu al-Hawa sold the real estate to a Palestinian businessman nearly a year ago, his brother Mahmoud says, earning $650,000. The money was used to buy another home on the Mount of Olives, a cherished spot overlooking Jerusalem's Old City.
But last week Muhammad's bullet-riddled body was found lying next to his burnt-out car on a road near Jericho. Branded a traitor for selling his property to Jews, he had been shot seven times, including once in the temple, Mahmoud said.
"I saw the body. I had to identify him," he says, sitting in mourning with his brother's wife and the rest of his family at their home -- the ground floor of the same building where the two upper levels were sold, and Israelis are due to move in.
Mahmoud acknowledges that the property is now Israeli-owned, but says he has proof that his brother originally sold it to a Palestinian. It was then sold for profit along a chain, ending up in the hands of Elad, an Israeli non-profit group, which Mahmoud says paid $10 million for the two floors.
For years, Elad and its wealthy private donors have been buying up property in Palestinian East Jerusalem and moving Jewish settlers in, changing the balance of communities.
Comments: Zechariah 14:4 And his (Jesus’s) feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. This verse foretells the end of the 7-year Tribulation Period when Jesus returns to Earth and sets His feet on the Mount of Olives. There will be a massive earthquake that will split the mountain (and all the buildings that are built on it).
Arabs and Jews fight for this prime real estate, but for different reasons. The Arabs want all of Jerusalem. Failing that, they would settle for East Jerusalem being the future capital of the new State of Palestine. The religious (but not Messianic) Jews contend that the Holy Land was given to them (not to the Arabs) by God and they’re correct about that. The Messianic Jews believe that their Messiah Jesus will return to Earth by His feet touching the Mount of Olives. Lastly, the secular Jews just want the high demand real estate with the hope of flipping it for a profit at a future date. Since Mount properties cannot be obtained by force, then a lawful sale is the next best option. All four groups are intransigent, i.e. they will not budge from their entrenched position.
As with many wars in the past, much blood has been shed over disputed land claims. The earth dwellers see their hope in this world, a world that will be ultimately destroyed by God (2 Peter 3:10). The heavenly minded believers ought to be pilgrims and strangers simply passing through this world not caring about parcels of land or possessions. Which investment will bring the best yield? A multi-million penthouse apartment on the Mount of Olives that could be leveled seven (7) years from now or a mansion in the Father’s house? I choose the latter.

Dalai Lama meets with Muslims in California

April 18, 2006 -- The Dalai Lama urged religious leaders Saturday to reach out to Muslims, saying Islam is a compassionate faith that has been unfairly maligned because of a few extremists.
"Nowadays to some people the Muslim tradition appears more militant," the 70-year-old exiled monk said at a weekend conference, which aimed to bring Muslims and Buddhists together.
"I feel that's totally wrong. Muslims, like any other traditions - same message, same practice. That is a practice of compassion," he said.
Event organizers say the Dalai Lama interrupted his schedule to fly to San Francisco and meet Islamic scholars and leaders from other faiths to discuss reducing violence and extremism.
Comments: The Buddhist Dalai Lama takes pacifism to a new level. He’s the male equivalent to Mother Theresa who couldn’t swat a fly in Calcutta. This man sees the world through rose colored spectacles. He’s a natural when it comes to political and religious correctness. Had he been one of the Dutch cartoonists, he would have politely refused to participate in the caricatures that mocked Islam’s Prophet Mohammed.
Wake up to reality, Dalai Lama! Islam is a worldwide terror and a scourge. Just ask Russian President Vladimir Putin who’s much bothered by the ongoing conflict in Chechnya and by the possible insurrections in the Islamic states of the former Soviet Union that border Russia. Russia had to make disadvantaged deals with Islamic Iran in order for Iran to hold off the Muslims from wrecking havoc with the Russian Federation. Islam has Russia in its grip.
For atheistic China, she may have to confront Islam for world supremacy some day after Islam has conquered the Western world. This world is indeed petrified of Islam. Even U.S. President Bush was extra careful not to offend Islam by calling it a peaceful religion.
For the One World Religion (OWR) proponents, getting all the faiths (Judaism, professing Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Shintoism, Native Spirituality, etc.) of the world to come together as one is progressing on schedule except for one major hitch. You’ve guessed it: Islam. It’s like the Rubik Cube. It’s going to take some time and effort, but there is a solution. Islam just needs to be toned down a bit and it will be welcomed on board as a member of the OWR. The Dalai Lama is doing his part being the dedicated team player that he is. If Islam doesn’t want in the OWR Club, the future Antichrist will have to deal with it as one of his first priorities.

Rare Mormon books stolen in Utah found

April 18, 2006 -- Police arrested a man Friday and recovered 11 of 13 rare religious books stolen this week from the Daughters of Utah Pioneers museum.
Brett Eborn, owner of Eborn Books, told investigators he paid $11,000 for two first-edition copies of the Book of Mormon, Garcia said. He also gave police the seller's name. Officers traced the man's driver’s license number and then staked out a home, where they made the arrest and recovered nine more books.
"We're fairly confident we'll have(the remaining) books soon," Garcia said.
Among them were 11 early editions of the Book of Mormon, and one early copy of the Doctrine and Covenants. Both works were written by Joseph Smith, founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and are considered the faith's foundational texts.
Comments: It would have been much better if the rare Mormon books had been burned or trashed after being stolen. Tragically, they will be available for further reading and being that they’re Satan’s inspired literature that was presented to cult leader Joseph Smith and adds to God’s Word, anyone reading it will be assimilating the doctrines of demons. Mormonism is a flourishing cult that’s sending zealous missionaries out to win (and ensnare) new converts. The Lord Jesus said one of the major signs of His return to Earth was the proliferation of false Christs and false prophets (Mark 13:22). Joseph Smith fits the latter to a T.
Mormonism has sublimely ingrained itself into the American mainstream with its goody-goody 2 shoes “The Osmond Brothers/Donny and Marie Osmond”, BYU (Brigham Young University) and retired San Francisco 49er all‑pro star quarterback and Hall of Famer Steve Young {the great-great-great grandson of Brigham Young aka the Mormon Moses, the successor to Joseph Smith}. Some initiated folks even believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a Christian church because of the “Jesus Christ” part of the name. The Mormon church views Jesus and Satan as spirit brothers and sons of God. How delusion works its magic in this religiously darkened world.
Study: Bay Area quake would be staggering

April 18, 2006 -- If an earthquake like the one that devastated the city in 1906 struck today, the toll would be staggering: tens of thousands of buildings damaged and hundreds of people dead, according to a new study.
The report released Monday calculated that a repeat of that 7.9-magnitude temblor would cause 1,800 to 3,400 deaths, damage more than 90,000 buildings, displace as many as 250,000 households and result in $150 billion in damage.
The three-day 100th Anniversary Earthquake Conference, starting Tuesday in San Francisco, was expected to draw more than 2,500 scientists, engineers, government officials and emergency response professionals. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and other politicians were scheduled to speak.
The conference is one of a long list of events being held around the Bay Area to commemorate the 1906 quake and promote earthquake preparedness. On Tuesday, survivors will lay wreaths at Lotta's Fountain in downtown San Francisco to mark the moment the temblor struck shortly after 5 a.m. 100 years ago.
Comments: 100 years ago, San Francisco (SF) wasn’t the gay capital of America (some would even say the gay capital of the world) like it is today and it suffered a devastating quake. Natural disasters may not necessarily be due to God’s judgment on a city or a region, but God allows it sometimes to speak to the survivors. In the case of SF, God is furious with the proud and boastful sodomites. Ancient Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire and brimstone. God could use the same method of execution on SF or He could send a long overdue earth tremor. God just so happened to place the San Andreas Fault along central California.
California is the largest state in the Union in terms of population. People flock to the Golden State because of the temperate climate, employment opportunities, liberal thinking, and the “do as you well please lifestyle”. Most are acutely aware of “The Next Big One” (magnitude 8 or higher) that seismic experts have predicted is due to hit at any time. Some have even gone as far as saying much of the state will literally fall into the Pacific Ocean. Only time will tell what will exactly transpire, but The Next Big One will strike. (The clock is ticking.) You can either believe it will be caused by Mother Nature (the term unbelievers like to use) or the direct Hand of God.

Last Passover for world's oldest Jewish city?

18 April 2006 --Tens of thousands flocked here yesterday to the biblical town of Hebron to celebrate Passover festivities alongside the Tomb of the Patriarchs – the second holiest site to Judaism – amid fears the neighborhood would be soon evacuated as part of Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's planned withdrawal from most of the West Bank.
"All of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) is on the chopping block. Every neighborhood is now under the threat of eviction as part of Olmert's plan. We are very worried," Hebron spokesperson and longtime resident David Wilder told WND.
Hebron is home to the oldest Jewish community in the world. Jews lived here almost continuously throughout the Byzantine, Arab, Mameluke and Ottoman periods and first established their capital in the city until it was moved seven years later to Jerusalem. In 1929, Hebron's Jewish community was evacuated by the British as a result of an Arab pogrom in which 67 Jews were murdered. The Jews re-established their presence in Hebron after the West Bank was recaptured in the 1967 Six Day War.
Over 20,000 people flocked to a Passover party yesterday in this ancient city, believed to be home to the resting place of the biblical patriarchs and matriarchs Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca and Leah.
Comments: Like this article explains Hebron is one of the oldest Jewish communities. It goes back to the time of Abraham and the beginning of the bible. Gen 13:18 is the first record of Hebron in the bible and Abraham dwelt there. This is the land of the Jews they have been there from the beginning. As this article explains, Hebron will be given over to the Palestinians along with the west bank. This will be the saddest moment in the history of the Jewish people. By giving this land away (For peace) that goes back to their fathers the Patriarchs, (Abraham Issac and Jacob), the end result will be the time of Jacob’s trouble. The Tribulation

Bush won't rule out nuclear strike on Iran

18 April 2006 -- President Bush refused on Tuesday to rule out nuclear strikes against Iran if diplomacy fails to curb the Islamic Republic's atomic ambitions.
Iran, which says its nuclear programme is purely peaceful, told world powers it would pursue atomic technology, whatever they decide at a meeting in Moscow later in the day.
Bush said in Washington he would discuss Iran's nuclear activities with China's President Hu Jintao this week and avoided ruling out nuclear retaliation if diplomatic efforts fail.
Asked if options included planning for a nuclear strike, Bush replied: "All options are on the table. We want to solve this issue diplomatically and we're working hard to do so."
Speculation about a U.S. attack has mounted since a report in New Yorker magazine said this month that Washington was mulling the option of using tactical nuclear weapons to knock out Iran's subterranean nuclear sites.
Comments: I know there has been a lot of talk about Iran in the news lately, but when the topic turns to a nuclear strike against Iran there must be something wrong with our world. No matter what mankind does to fix the problems, war is always inevitable somewhere. This time it may catch many by surprise. If there is an option to this problem it may be slowly slipping away. Pretty soon we may find that Pandora’s Box has been opened and with that, the same time of trouble that I mentioned in the article above. The world is in trouble and there is only one escape. Jesus is the answer.
