Woman Has Rare Case of Bubonic Plague

LOS ANGELES - A woman is in stable condition with bubonic plague, the first confirmed human case in Los Angeles County since 1984, health officials said Tuesday.
The woman, who was not identified, was admitted to a hospital April 13 with a fever, swollen lymph nodes and other symptoms. A blood test confirmed the bacterial disease, and she was given antibiotics, officials said.
Bubonic plague is not contagious, but if left untreated it can morph into pneumonic plague, which is. Bubonic plague is usually transmitted to humans from the bites of fleas infected by rodents.
Comments: We hear of new health threats every day. Mumps is making a comeback. AIDS is expanding exponentially, and now the Black Plague appears in LA County. WACO, Texas - Thirteen years after the Branch Davidians' armed standoff with federal agents ended in an inferno that killed nearly 80 people, six sect members who were sent to prison are about to be released from custody.
Most of those who will be freed over the next two months escaped from the compound near Waco as it burned to the ground on April 19, 1993 — 51 days after a shootout that erupted when federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents tried to arrest religious leader David Koresh for stockpiling guns and explosives.
The six men went to federal prison for manslaughter, weapons offenses or both in connection with the shootout, which left four federal agents and six Davidians dead.

These followers of David Koresh are fortunate in that they still have the time to hear the true Gospel and repent, unlike the dozens murdered by their leader. We live in an age of unprecedented demonic activity and many are deceived thereby. We must pray for these lost souls, but we must also be aware that everything is unfolding as Christ predicted. The End of the Age cannot be far away now, and as it gets closer things will only wax worse/.

Egypt, South Africa condemn Israel

Egypt and South Africa's condemnations of Monday's suicide bombing stood out from the others that poured in from around the world because they equated the terrorist act with Israeli actions.
The Egyptian State Information Service put out a statement Wednesday saying Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit "deplored the Israeli shelling of the northern Gaza Strip and the massive raid mounted against the West Bank city of Nablus." Gheit said, "Continued Israeli military operations and the oppression of the Palestinian civilians fan feelings of hatred and derail peace efforts."
The statement continued: "Aboul-Gheit further denounced the suicide bombing in Tel Aviv's Central Bus Station, which killed eight [sic] people and injured up to 52 others." Nine people were killed in the attack.
The statement said that Egypt's ambassador to the United Nations, Maguid Abdul-Fattah, "blamed the latest turmoil to the Israeli measures, including the economic blockade, the isolation of Palestinian cities and villages as well as restrictions on the movement of the Palestinians and their goods due to the West Bank separation wall."
Comments: Once again the word is blaming Israel for being the victim of a vicious, cowardly attack. How bout placing the blame where it really belongs, on the Palestinians and their terrorist government? Israel has a God-given right to exist and must use all means necessary to ensure that right.

church attendants are usually absent from the pews on any other given weekly
worship service throughout the year, church leaders see such days as a
booster.
"I believe
that people who come on Easter will see that it's a vibrant church that uplifts
the Lord and, yes, I believe that we could see another rise from Easter," said
Patti Gunter from Grace Baptist Church, according to World Now.
Comments: It seems people get religious around major traditional events such as Christmas and Easter and they attend church in droves. Also, there’s a saying “People go to church to get baptized, get married and get eulogized”. We’re basically spiritual creatures and certain milestones in our lives create an inner urge to turn to God for some creature-to-Creator connecting.
There’s something about Easter that makes people want to think about God. Hopefully for their soul, it is because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after He suffered, died (He gave Himself up willingly; no man killed Him) and shed His precious blood for sinners. For born again Christians, Easter Sunday ought to infuse profound joy in their hearts that their Savior had defeated Satan and sin and is now sitting at the Right Hand of God the Father. Jesus is a victorious Savior which no other faith/religion can lay claim for their leader. Buddha and Confucius are still in their graves in dust and ashes awaiting their resurrection day when they will be judged by their Creator, Jesus Christ.

U.S. still plans passport rule for all foreigners entering the USA

April 20, 2006 -- The Bush administration said Tuesday it still plans to require passports from all foreigners entering the United States by the end of next year, despite calls for a delay by some Republicans worried about strained relations with Canada.
At issue is a 2004 law, being phased in over three years, to tighten U.S. borders against suspected terrorists and other criminals. But critics on both sides of the nation's northern border fear the passport requirement will hamper commerce and tourism between Canada and the U.S. - the world's largest trading bloc.
"We have to work with the law as it currently exists," Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said after a meeting with Canadian Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day. "I think it's a deadline we can meet."
Asked whether the U.S. would be ready with new technology and staffing demands to handle the stricter inspections by Dec. 31, 2007, Chertoff said: "It seems to me way premature to raise the flag of defeat when I think we have ample precedent and ample ability to meet the deadline."
Comments: Would be terrorists are not welcome in America. Stay put where you are! What happened on September 11, 2001 in New York City, at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and in Pennsylvania must not be repeated. American Homeland Security is being bullish on those bent on instilling carnage and terror in the minds of law biding citizens who just want to see their children and grandchildren grow up in Pleasantville, USA. Canadians will have to get used to much tighter border crossing security controls. There’s no guarantee that just because you’re a male Caucasian from Niagara Falls, Ontario that you could not be a possible terrorist. Show the border officials your certified passport to prove that you are indeed the person on that piece of ID. Offended by mistrust and paranoia of the Americans? Don’t be. This is nothing when compared to the Beast Antichrist’s much more stringent monitoring when he will utterly crush all those who would dare challenge his unfettered authority and sow anarchy anywhere in his far reaching empire. The current fight against terrorism is a prelude to the Antichrist’s total population control.

Logo picks up Rosie O'Donnell's "Big Gay Show"

April 20, 2006 -- Rosie O'Donnell is dipping a toe back into comedic television with Logo, the gay-themed cable channel from MTV Networks.
Logo has picked up six half-hour episodes of sketch comedy showcase "The Big Gay Show," on which O'Donnell will serve as an executive producer. It will premiere sometime next year.
The cast includes Erica Ash, Dion Flynn, Julie Goldman, Stephen Guarino, Johnny McGovern, Kate McKinnon, Nicol Paone and Michael Serrato. Former "Married ... with Children" actress Amanda Bearse will direct.
Comments: Philippians 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. The above list of characters would fill the Who’s Gay Rogue Gallery. All of them can pat themselves on the back for promoting the gay agenda so ably. Some of them have lovers of the same gender. They know how to exploit the TV medium to the fullest advantage.
TV viewers used to be perplexed by the brashness of the homosexuals and lesbians flaunting their wares, but now it’s the “same old”, “same old”. Turn on the TV, settle down with your favorite pop soda and bag of Lay’s and watch Rosie O’Donnell parade one Sodomite and Dyke after another shamelessly before the cameras. If she isn’t enough, there are reruns of Ellen. Lights, sound, action! It’s no wonder this sick world is ripe for God’s wrath to be poured out in all its fullness.
It’s been said that 10% of the general population is gay and the percentage in Hollywood is higher than that. Like a small snowball that is rolling down the mountain, it picks up speed and size so that it eventually becomes a boulder of snow and ice and ends up smashing against what’s in its way. Christians who stand in the way of gay people will get pummeled. Just ask Jerry Falwell and other vocal detractors.
China criticised for alleged use of prisoner organs

April 20, 2006 -- British transplant experts accused China on Wednesday of removing organs from executed prisoners without their consent in order to sell them.
The British Transplantation Society (BTS) said there is an accumulating body of evidence that suggests organs of executed prisoners are being removed for transplants and sold without the prior consent of the prisoners or their families.
Although the exact number of organs taken from prisoners is unknown, the BTS said the figure could be in the thousands.
"The British Transplantation Society condemns unreservedly any activity that transgresses an individual's human rights or involves the coercion of an individual to become an organ donor," Stephen Wigmore, chairman of the BTS ethics committee, said in a statement.
"The alleged use of organs from executed prisoners without consent is considered a breach of human rights and is an unacceptable practice," he added.
Human rights groups have also criticised the use of organs from executed prisoners and the hospitals that have allegedly turned to organ sales and transplants to raise funds.
Last month China said it would ban the sale of human organs and strengthen procedures for transplants by requiring written consent and limiting the number of hospitals doing the surgery.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said there had been cases where organs of executed prisoners were used without their consent.
Comments: Anything to make a profit. It makes one want to throw up on the pavement. You expect that and more from greedy capitalists, but surely not from the atheistic communist Chinese. The hypocrisy of communism is that on the one hand, its socialistic leaders preach hard work, personal sacrifice and “the good of the whole outweighs the good of the one” yet behind the closed doors of the heavy on the starch bureaucracy, they dabble in the international stock markets, hoard stockpiles of hard-to-get luxury items, live the unbridled life of Solomon, and engage in immoral acts such as selling other people’s body parts. They have no conscience it seems.
A healthy kidney from a virile convict on death row would garner a tidy sum of money on the open market. Donors with a good pedigree are much sought after. Don’t even seek their permission. Why bother? They’re in prison for having committed a crime. They’ve forfeited their rights and freedoms. The penitentiary warden will dictate to them the terms and conditions of their prison stay. Hey, that’s a pretty boy face you got there. That ought to fetch a king’s ransom. Strap him down and get the scalpels ready for some in-your-face carving.

April 20, 2006 -- When America's top sex researchers gathered recently to discuss the next decade in their field, some envisioned a future in which artificial sex partners could cater to every fantasy.
"What is very likely to be present before 2016 would be a multi-sensual experience of virtual sex," said Julia Heiman, director of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University, Bloomington.
"There is a possibility of developing erotic materials for yourself that would allow you to create a partner of certain dimensions and qualities, the partner saying certain things in that interaction, certain things happening in that interaction."
A field dubbed "teledildonics" already allows people at two remote computers to manipulate electronic devices such as a vibrator at the other end for sexual purposes.
"People who use it are just blown away," said Steve Rhodes, president of Sinulate Entertainment, which has sold thousands of Internet-connected sex devices over the past three years. "This is not something that just the lunatic fringe does."
Comments: Whatever happened to the intimacy of flesh on flesh between two married people? Sadly, Madison Avenue and Hollywood bombard people with “you could do better” dissatisfaction. After a year or two of marriage, couples stop dating each other, become complacent and take each other for granted. They gradually become bored with each other. Physical sensations are dulled. Substitutes take the place of your significant other. Many people have “affairs” or live separate lives. Fetishes are developed and cultivated. New thrills are in vogue. Love is replaced by perverted sex. That’s why love shops set up business at your friendly neighborhood corner.
Virtual reality now has the capability to act out fantasies for males and females alike. Within almost all of us are unfulfilled desires that many would like played out in real life. With that being an impossibility in most instances, virtual reality offers the next best thing, the elusive fulfillment of our lustful heart. Who’s going to be hurt by it? The fantasy person you’re doing your thing with isn’t real after all, but a projection of bits, bytes and swirling electrons and protons inside your mind, a mind that directs your limbs and other bodily members how to move and maneuver. This is straight out of Star Trek’s Holodeck program.

European Union High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana begins on Thursday a tour of Indonesia and Japan for talks on bilateral relations and regional and international developments.
Solana will have a series of meetings with political leaders in Jakarta on Friday including the country's president, vice-president and foreign minister. An important part of Solana's trip will be a visit to Aceh on Saturday, where the EU is currently supporting the peace process there by participating in the Aceh Monitoring Mission and is assisting the post-tsunami reconstruction effort, according to a statement issued by Solana's office in Brussels on Wednesday.
Comments: Javier Solana is making his way to Southeast Asia tomorrow and like I said in the April 7th news letter (regarding Javier Solana) “Come to think of it, he has been promoting peace, stability good governance and the rule of law from Africa, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East and any conflict that rears its ugly head in the world. Cartoons included”.
This is another example of Javier Solana globe trotting around the world promoting peace. By the time the Antichrist comes on the scene there won’t be any peace (False peace) left to promote. It will already be done by Javier Solana.
