Alleged Osama Tape: West at War With Islam

CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden purportedly said in an audio tape broadcast by Al-Jazeera television Sunday that the West's decision to cut off funds to the Palestinians proved that the United States and Europe were at war with Islam. He also said the West was supporting what he called a "Zionist crusader war against Muslims."
"The blockade which the West is imposing on the government of Hamas proves that there is a Zionist crusader war on Islam," the speaker on the tape said.
"I say that this war is the joint responsibility of the people and the governments. While the war continues, the people renew their allegiance to their rulers and politicians and continue to send their sons to our countries to fight us."
The authenticity of the tape could not immediately be verified.
Comments: Whether this tape is authentic or not, the implication is clear. Radical Islam is at war with Israel and the West. For now, the war is waged mostly by terrorist attacks, but it won’t take much for things to escalate into a full-blown war. Hamas is becoming more desperate by the day, and a soon-to-be nuclear Iran is thumbing its nose at the West. Can the Ezekiel 38 war be long in coming?

Court: PA meets criteria to be classed sovereign state

President of the Jerusalem District Court Boaz Okon on Sunday issued a verdict stipulating that the Palestinian Authority fulfills the criterions to be legally considered as a state.
According to the verdict, the PA, in the wake of the disengagement, was vested with authorities that constitute a sovereign body responsible over certain parts of the West Bank and the entire Gaza Strip.
"The PA meets the main requirements that constitute a 'state'," the verdict said.
The verdict was issued in a civil lawsuit filed by the Association of the Elon Moreh College against the State of Israel, the PA and other entities. The lawsuit pertains to lands purchased by the association from Palestinians in a part of the West Bank classified as Area A, which is under full Palestinian sovereignty.
The legal implications of the ruling are that verdicts issued under Israeli law cannot be enforced in territories under PA sovereignty.
Comments: The other, more obvious implication of this ruling is that Israeli reprisals against the Palestinians could now be construed as acts of war. This opens the door to intervention by other nations in the region. I believe we are entering a very critical period in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Gog/Magog alliance is cohering daily. Bin Laden’s new message makes this clear. All of Islam will soon come to the aid of the Palestinians, and only the very Hand of God can save Israel. Surely Jesus is coming soon.

'Cyclone Monica now Category Five' Bureau of Meteorology
Emergency sirens have sounded at Nhulunbuy on the Northern Territory's Gove Peninsula, calling people to cyclone shelters this morning.
Cyclone Monica was upgraded to a Category 5 storm late on Saturday as it approached Australia's Northern Territory coast. The weather bureau believes this cyclone had the potential to cause more destruction than Cyclone Larry in far north Queensland because it was larger and slower.
At 4 am CST on Sunday morning Cyclone Monica was located about 195 kilometres east northeast of Nhulunbuy, and 320 kilometres east of Elcho Island, moving northwest at 10 kilometres per hour. The cyclone should maintain its current intensity as it moves towards the west northwest during today.
Comments: Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
This is the third category 5 storm to hit Australia in recent weeks. Last year’s Atlantic storm season was a record breaker, and the US has already been struck by many severe tornadoes this spring. More and more we see the signs Jesus spoke of: wars, earthquakes, famines, persecution. Therefore we should heed His warning: Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Fearing an Iranian missile attack, the IDF has raised the level of vigilance of its Arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile defense system and has reinforced personnel at the command center in the Palmahim Air Force base north of Ashdod, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
Maj. Elyakim, commander of the Arrow missile battery at Palmahim, said the missile crews were always on high alert, but they were recently instructed to "raise their level of awareness" because of general developments on the Iranian front. The increased vigilance level, he said, was not due to specific intelligence but rather to the generally tense situation in the region.
The Arrow missile, he said, could intercept and destroy any Iranian missile fired at Israel, including ones carrying non-conventional warheads. Analysts believe that if Iran is attacked by Israel or the US, it would respond by firing long-range ballistic missiles at Israel.
Comments: The Iranian nuclear program looks to be the spark that will set the region in flames. There is no way Israel and the United States can afford to ignore this new threat. Israel will be the target of any Iranian retaliation, simply because the Iranians do not have missiles capable of reaching the US. The real question is whether Iran will go it alone this time or whether the conflict will involve the entire region. The crisis appears to be fast approaching. All we know for certain is that Israel will stand. Whether this time it will be because of the brave fighters of the IDF or Divine intervention remains to be seen.

Declared dead after Chernobyl, nuclear lives again

April 21, 2006 -- When reactor No. 4 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine exploded on April 26, 1986, spewing radioactive dust over much of Europe, many people believed the disaster sounded the death knell for nuclear power.
The radioactive fallout -- up to 10 times the amount released during the Hiroshima atomic bombing in 1945 -- spread across Ukraine and its neighbors and reached eastern Europe, Scandinavia, northern Britain and even the eastern United States.
Estimates of human deaths from the explosion vary from tens to thousands. The accident made Chernobyl a global byword for all the perceived ills of nuclear power.
But 20 years after the world's worst nuclear accident, atomic power is back in favor in several countries.
"Fossil fuel prices have shot up in the past decade, so the economic argument has swung back in favor of nuclear power."
Booming economy China is embarking on a major nuclear building program, the United States has given the green light to new nuclear plants and at least 15 other nations from Turkey to Australia are considering nuclear power.
Britain is debating whether to renew aging nuclear plants, -- despite sharp controversy -- and the Group of Eight rich nations is expected to endorse atomic power at a July summit.
Comments: Revelation 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. Wormwood will strike Earth during the latter half of the 7‑year Tribulation Period. It’s interesting to note that the Ukrainian word Chernobyl is translated as “wormwood”. Now, isn’t that prophetic that in these last days, nuclear power is taking center stage again (i.e. a revival) in the power industry. (The Book of Revelation is as current as our daily newspapers.)
The nuclear disaster at Chernobyl caused radiation related deaths and birth malformations (e.g. born without hands) in the inhabitants of the towns and cities in the area surrounding Chernobyl and God’s judgments upon this world will unleash the same deadly rays and the pollution of the air and water upon the God rejecters. Chernobyl was certainly a bitter pill for the inhabitants to swallow, but what’s ahead for Earthlings will be more of the same. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

April 21, 2006 -- The city of Rome should be "a beacon of civilization and of spirituality for the whole world," Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news) said on April 21, at a concert celebrating the anniversary of the city's founding.
In his remarks to the crowd, Pope Benedict remarked that the anniversary festivities offered a good opportunity to reflect on the historic role of the city, with its "rich artistic heritage, largely tied to the Christian history of the city." He went on to acknowledge that the evening's concert was also designed to honor him on the 1st anniversary of his election, and said that he has found the people of Rome "generous, open, and welcoming" in their attitude toward him.
Comments: Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

It’s Bella Roma to its residents and to the millions of tourists that flock to this historic city each year. It sits on seven mountains (hills) and it holds the site of the Vatican, the immensely wealthy and pompous headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, THE church to over 900 Catholics around the world. The present Pope (he’s German) and his predecessor John Paul II (he was Polish) don’t adore Rome because of any birth connections, but a spiritual tie to the city, to themselves and to each Catholic. Although the Christian faith didn’t begin here, its successive popes have errantly proclaimed that the Apostle Peter was the very first pope and that Christianity is centered in Rome, not Jerusalem where the Church was actually formed on the Day of Pentecost.
Revelation 17 not only has documented spiritual Rome’s hideous acts of its past emperors and popes who persecuted and put to death thousands upon thousands of believers who would not bow to Rome’s blatant paganism, but it also foretells us of her future when she will head up the One World Church under the auspices of the False Prophet.
Pope Benedict XVI knows the Bible having studied it his entire lifetime so he, his cardinals, bishops and priests can formulate ways to keep the Bible away from the hands of their Catholic faithfuls. His utterance that Rome should be the spiritual shining light and center of the entire world is truly prophetic. Perhaps he intended it that way knowing he’s advancing God’s prophetic timetable or more than likely, he’s merely a player in God’s stage.

EU warned against dependency on Russian energy

April 22, 2006 -- The International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned Europe against becoming too dependent on Russian energy supplies.
IEA chief economist Fatih Birol told Financial Times Deutschland that "Europe must change its energy policy in order to avoid becoming too dependent on Russian gas."
His statement comes in reaction to Russian monopoly Gazprom's warning that it would consider delivering its gas elsewhere if investment opportunities in Europe were blocked.
"The recent statements are a warning sign and should open the eyes of European politicians," said Mr Birol, who went on to suggest that nuclear energy could provide "a key part of the solution."
The European Commission also reacted strongly to Gazprom's threat.
"That statement gives grounds to our concerns on the growing foreign dependency of European energy supply and...our need to diversify the origin of our supplies and our supply routes," a commission spokesman said on Thursday.
Comments: Ezekiel 38 and 39 foretell a soon coming day when Gog (Russia’s leader) will lead an alliance of Muslim and former Warsaw Pact nations for an invasion of Israel. Bible prophecy authors and students do not agree when this invasion will take place. Some believe it was happen just prior to the Rapture, some think it will transpire around the mid‑point of the 7‑year Tribulation Period while prolific author Dave Hunt and equally prolific author/pastor John MacArthur say Ezekiel 38 and 39 and the Battle of Armageddon (just prior to Christ’s 2nd coming, i.e. at the end of the Tribulation Period) will be one of the same.
Regardless of when Ezekiel 38 and 39 will occur, one thing is certain, Russia is a country that marches to its own tune. The Russian monopoly Gazprom does as it pleases and answers to no one expect perhaps to Russian President Vladimir Putin (although a gift of 100 cases of the finest vodka would proffer his turning his cheek the other way). The future Antichrist will be a dictatorial world leader, but he will have a pocket of nations that will challenge his authority and refuse to be part of his empire. Nations that come to mind are Russia, Persia (Iran), Gomer (Ukraine), Libya, Ethiopia, Turkey, etc., all listed in Ezekiel 38. As well, there will be the kings of the east (east as pertaining to Israel), i.e. India, China, Japan, Korea, etc., who will resist the Antichrist because at the end of the Tribulation Period, they will amass their considerable armies and march westward to Jerusalem to not only settle the Jewish problem once and for all, but to try to usurp the Antichrist from his seat in the Third Temple where he sits as God.
The EU cannot trust the crafty Russians just like you don’t dare place your hand inside a black bear. The Russian bear will amputate your hand leaving you bloodied and writhing in abject pain. Gas pains will surely plague the Europeans unless they wean themselves off Russian petrol, but alas, desperate nations do desperate things.

Libya’s Qadhafi invites Christians and Jews to Mecca

April 22, 2006 -- Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi called for allowing Christians and Jews to perform pilgrimage to Mecca, Islam's holiest place.
Speaking following prayers with the presidents of Mali, Sierra Leone, Niger, Mauritania and Senegal on the occasion of the Prophet Mohammed's birthday in Timbuktu, Mali, late on Monday, Qadhafi said "Mecca should be a meeting point to all people except heretics and impure".
He said that Christians and Jews are not heretics or impure and "believe in God" and should be allowed to go to pilgrimage in Mecca.
Qadhafi challenged Muslim religious leaders to allow US President George W. Bush to enter the main mosque in Mecca and pray there, while considering him impure or a heretic.
"If [Muslim leaders] consider him impure, why do they befriend him and eat with him," Qadhafi asked.
Comments: I imagine Iran’s supreme ruler must have choked on his supper when he heard about Qadhafi’s outrageous offer. Radical Islam’s aim is to rid this world of all infidels (i.e. non-Muslims). Islam considers the U.S. the Great Satan and Israel is a cancer that needs to be eradicated. Christians (the Roman Catholic Church brand) and Muslims have had their wars, i.e. the Crusades. Colonel Qadhafi either failed Islam/Christianity/Judaism History 101 or he has mingled with the ecumenical movement’s movers and shakers. Perhaps, he has spoken to Pope Benedict XVI and a host of liberal mainline Protestant church leaders. He has jumped onto the One World Religion bandwagon. Whatever the reason for his outlandish proposal must be setting a wide smile to ecumenical proponents worldwide. Islam will be the toughest nut to crack in bringing it into the One World Religion. Having one of its followers promoting togetherness makes that task a little less daunting.
As been written before, the method used to unite all faiths/religions under one umbrella is to overlook or lessen their differences and focus on the common denominator and that is, we all worship, pray and believe in the same god (I purposely used the lowercase “g” because they are not referring to God per se).

Skin cancer epidemic underway in the U.S.

April 23, 2006 -- There is an unrecognized epidemic of skin cancer underway in the United States, the American Academy of Dermatology warns.
One in five Americans will develop skin cancer, and a person's risk of the disease doubles if he or she has had five or more sunburns, according to a report in the April issue of the Mayo Clinic Health Letter.
Basal and squamous cell carcinomas, the most common and treatable types of skin cancers, had long been considered a problem only for people over 50, according to the report. But Mayo Clinic researchers found that the percentage of women under 40 with the more common type, basal cell, tripled between 1976 and 2003, while the rate of squamous cell cancers increased four-fold.
In the same study, the researchers found that just 60% of the cancers they identified occurred on skin frequently exposed to the sun, such as the head and neck, rather than the normal 90%. Most of the remaining cancers were seen on the torso. The researchers suspect this may be due to more widespread use of tanning beds.
Comments: Revelation 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. The protective ozone layer (sort of a force field effect) above Earth has depleted appreciably during the past 50 years or so. Harmful, cancer causing ultraviolet radiation from the sun’s rays is penetrating the dermis of sun bathers all around the world. If the depletion rate isn’t arrested (and it won’t be due to mankind’s raping of the planet due to industrialization), this planet will be virtually defenceless to the sun’s bombardment just as Revelation 16:9 predicted.
People are ardent sun worshippers, especially young people. They will literally stay outdoors for hours on end soaking in the rays. Their skin changes colour (due to being baked) and becomes leathery and wrinkly (sure indicators of skin damage). They’ve been warned by health professionals, but they’re defiant just like the blasphemers of the above Verse 9. They’ll do as they please and no one can tell them otherwise, not even the God of Heaven who created the sun.

ACLU enters Jesus picture dispute

April 23, 2006 -- The American Civil Liberties Union has stepped into the dispute over a picture of Jesus that has hung on a Bridgeport High School wall for 40 years.
An ACLU official said the group wants the picture taken down.
Harrison County school officials, meanwhile, have other ideas.
The high school could start an "inspirational wall" on which pictures of other influential historical figures are hung together, said schools Superintendent Carl Friebel. The Jesus picture could be relocated to that wall, he said.
Comments: The American Civil Liberties Union is a contradiction of terms. It purports to stand for and promote liberties of individuals yet it is actually canvassing members for the Devil to enslave. The Bible says Jesus Christ sets people free (John 8:36) from their sins while the Devil wants his minions to be in shackles (2 Corinthians 4:4), chained to their sins. The ACLU is a satanic organization set out to stamp out all vestiges of the Bible with the Lord Jesus Christ being their primary target. Attack Jesus (who is central to the Christian belief) by smearing His name, sue to remove public prayer and Bible reading, and take Him out of the public view. Gospel preaching must be curbed or eliminated so people won’t be able to hear of Jesus’s offer of salvation and be free of their sins forever.
Slavery was supposed to have been abolished at the conclusion of the American Civil War, but like one of author Hal Lindsey’s books titled “Satan is Alive and Well on Earth”, so is spiritual slavery. The Devil is a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8) when it comes to the ACLU’s tactics. Seek out Christian symbols and destroy. Only Christians who dare take a stand against the enemy of our souls by opposing him are holding back the dike of evil from bursting.

attack against the Al Aqsa mosque is foreseeable aiming at destroying

The sources said that the Israeli extremists' rightists who failed to dissuade

The group made up of ex- generals in the Israeli army, well veterans in using the heavy and light weapons, manufacturing explosives and monitoring the movements of the security forces custodian the holy Al Aqsa Mosque and know well how to evade the security measures there.

As Al-Aqsa mosque is more endangered than ever before, the chief judge headed the attention that the Jewish extremists and settlers do not stop aggressive attacks against Al-Aqsa mosque and their overt calls to harm it and destroy it to build the alleged temple mount on its ruins.
Comments: As we get closer to the day when Israel pulls out of the west bank and possibly East Jerusalem, civil unrest amongst extremist Jews could bring the Al Aqsa mosque or the dome of the rock down. This is a possibility other than a political settlement. We know the third Temple will be rebuilt in time for the middle of the tribulation period and the beginning of that (The Tribulation) may not be far off. If this is the case, the Temple Mount will be a hot issue in the weeks to come. If the any building on the Temple Mount is brought down by violence, it will shake all three Monolithic religions to their own foundation.

Shortage of water drains life from biblical river

Now the Jordan has lost more than 90 per cent of the 1.3 billion cubic meters (1.7 billion cu yds) that used to flow through it each year from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea, 100km (62 miles) further south.
Worse, environmentalists fear, a newdam being built by Jordan and Syria on its main tributary, the Yarmouk, will cut a further 20 million cubic metres of the Lower Jordan’s fresh water, drying up its flow altogether.
Comments: The Jordan River valley area is one of the most world-famous Bible Places. It is also one of Israel and Jordan’s main water supply sources. Fresh water is so scarce that after signing the 1979 peace treaty with Israel, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat said his nation will never go to war again, except to protect its water resources. King Hussein of Jordan identified water as the only reason that might lead him to war with the Jewish state. Former United Nations Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali warned bluntly that the next war in the area will be over water. Israel nearly invaded Lebanon in 2002 after Lebanon cut the flow of the Wazzani River that runs into Israel.
Now the historic river Jordan has been reduced to a trickle, and with that there is less water to go around. By the sounds of it, there won’t be much water left to fight over if this keeps up.

EU wants to build comprehensive partnership with Vietnam

22 April 2006 -- A top EU official called on the Indonesian Government on Saturday to pave the way for elections in tsunami-ravaged Aceh province _ a key component of a peace agreement that ended three decades of fighting. Javier Solana said an EU mission overseeing the August accord was happy so far with how things were going, citing the swift end to fighting that claimed 15,000 lives and the recent return of long-exiled rebel leaders. ``But there are still some steps that have to be taken,'' Solana told reporters in Aceh, including clarification of who qualifies for amnesty and parliament's approval of a ``law of governance'' that will lead to elections.
Austrian chancellor arrives for talks on political cooperation on global issues

23 April 2006 -- EU security affairs chief Javier Solana and Benita-Ferrero-Waldner, the EU external relations commissioner, are to join the delegation Monday.
Comments: Javier Solana and the EU external relations commissioner Benita-Ferrero-Waldner have been pretty busy in South East Asia promoting peace, security, partnerships and the Law of Governance. Solana and Waldner may not get along very well but both are drumming up support for the greater good of the near and far European neighborhood. Both head to a summit in Japan tomorrow. It’s a good idea to keep a good eye on both of these people as the European Union evolves into the beast that is rising up out of the sea. The Mediterranean sea.
