Admin. $15B AIDS Plan Questioned
April 5, 2006 -- The Bush
administration's $15 billion global AIDS initiative is emphasizing sexual
abstinence and fidelity more than Congress intended, and that focus is
undermining prevention efforts in poor countries, congressional investigators
said Tuesday.
The directives are creating
confusion and forcing reduction in some programs deemed necessary for pregnant
women, high-risk groups like truck drivers and sex workers, married couples and
sexually active youths, the GAO said.
Comments: I’m sorry if
the facts don’t suit the US Congress, but abstinence and fidelity are the only
known ways to prevent the spread of AIDS. Treating AIDS after someone already
has the disease is expensive and cruel. The Bush Administration is to be
commended for their efforts to promote abstinence and fidelity. This has always
been the Lord God’s plan for male-female relations.

Gospel
of Judas to be presented this week

April 5, 2006 -- A fourth-century papyrus manuscript
containing the long-lost 'Gospel of Judas' will be presented in
The Gospel of Judas is one of several ancient accounts of
Christ's life which were rejected as suspect by the fathers of the early Church
and so they did not become part of the Bible.
Without his betrayal, Jesus would not have been crucified
and so, the argument goes, God's plan to save mankind from
its sins would not have been fulfilled.
Interviewed by the
Messori recalled that in the apocryphal
account Judas is forgiven: "He weeps, Jesus forgives him and in order to
purify him he sends Judas into the desert to do spiritual exercises."
In the New Testament, in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is quoted
as saying: "Woe to that one by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would
have been better for that one not to have been born." After the betrayal,
they never meet again and, overcome with remorse, Judas commits suicide. Christ
atones for the sins of humanity but never specifically forgives Judas.
Messori said the lack of forgiveness in the
Bible account appeared strange in a man who preached forgiveness.
Comments:
The Gospel of Judas came straight from the bottomless pit! It’s a false gospel created by the Devil to
deceive the unsaved and to try to shaken the faith of blood bought Christians. It’s not part of the inspired Word of God,
the Bible. Judas died an unsaved
man. Who said so? The Lord Jesus said of Judas:
John 17:12 While I was with them in
the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest
me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the
son of perdition (Judas); that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by
whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been
good for that man if he had not been born.
Judas is a
lost soul presently being incarcerated in a place called Hell, the holding cell
for all lost souls who will eventually be cast into the lake of fire along with
the Devil, his wicked angels, the Antichrist and the False Prophet.
This
Catholic writer dared to question the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ. Judas had his many opportunities to get
saved, but his love for money (30 pieces of silver) led him to betray
Jesus. Judas was the Devil’s fool. He then hung himself and entered Hell.
The Apostle
Paul warned believers about false gospels being propagated in the last days and
for us to shun them at all cost.
Galatians 1:8 But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (i.e. let him go to Hell).
Verse 9 As we said before, so say I
now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed.

Bible
Society won't print 'Jesus Loves Porn Stars' Bibles

April 5, 2006 -- Two Corona pastors who minister to the
adult film industry have hit a roadblock in their crusade. Their publishing
company is refusing to print Bibles with the brand ''Jesus Loves Porn Stars''
emblazoned on the cover.
They thought putting an edgy cover on the bibles could get
them attention and increase their distribution.
So they paid the American Bible Society (ABS) to print 10,000 copies of
the Scriptures. But the publisher backed down after hearing about the cover
concept.
The ABS says while it appreciates the pastors' mission, the
words "Jesus Loves Porn Stars" are “misleading and inappropriate for
a New Testament."
Comments: This was a missed/wasted
opportunity, in my opinion, to present the Gospel of God to the porn
peddlers. The Bible clearly teaches that
Jesus loves ALL sinners although he hates ALL sins. Love the sinners but eschew sins = what our
Lord would have all believers in Christ to practise,
but the Bible Society’s reasoning doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. The “Jesus Loves Porn Stars” statement
certainly does not make Jesus appear as He is condoning the sins of carnality,
fornication and adultery. Refusing to print such adorned Bibles spanks of legalism and
tradition when countless souls are lost and are heading full-speed straight to
Hell.
May we have
a fervent love for perishing souls and lead them to the foot of the cross where
Jesus died and shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins.
2 Timothy
4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Proposed
gay games event divides Illinois town

agenda seems a simple matter: Whether to give rowers a permit to have a boat
race this summer on a small man-made lake. But because the rowers are gay -
participating in something called the Gay Games - what would normally be a
mundane debate about parking and street closures is instead a heated battle
between those who see the event as a threat to their small-town way of life and
those who see such views as simply small-minded.
On Tuesday, the City Council was scheduled to discuss
whether to allow the Olympics-style Gay Games to hold its rowing event in this
bedroom community of 40,000 about 50 miles northwest of Chicago.
One look at the angry letters to the editor that have
frequently appeared in the local newspaper revealed it isn't the logistics of
the race that's on residents' minds.
"Make no mistake: The purpose of the Gay Games is to
legitimize homosexuality and make it appear as a wholesome lifestyle choice,"
wrote Tim Coakley, a critic of the games.
