Oil will top $100 next year
Source: Business Report

October 2007 – New York - Global oil prices have more than
doubled from about $30 (R205 at current exchange rates) in 2003 and
analysts say the forces pushing them up show no signs of easing,
with $100-a-barrel oil a possibility next year.
Oil prices have been hovering at about $80 a barrel in recent weeks
after hitting all-time highs in New York and London. Tight supplies,
geopolitical worries, storms and strong global economic growth have
all contributed to the high prices.
"The two arguments against $100 oil - the ability of technology to
raise new supply and the ability of prices to limit demand - are
falling quickly by the wayside," said Jeffrey Rubin, an economist at
CIBC World Markets.
"Gone are Big Oil's smug assurances that their technical prowess
will untap huge hitherto undiscovered reserves of cheap crude.
"What we hear instead, through the voice of the US National
Petroleum Council, are warnings of depletion and steadily rising
prices."
Some analysts are surprised prices keep rising despite conventional
wisdom that high prices will curb demand.
But Rubin said strong growth in China and other developing nations
had taken up any slack in demand from the wealthier nations.
Caspian states show united front on Putin's Iran visit
Source: Reuters
16 October 2007 – Caspian Sea states declared in Tehran on Tuesday they would not let their soil be used for an attack on any of them, an apparent response to speculation the United States could resort to force in its nuclear row with Iran.
The Islamic Republic is embroiled in a standoff with Western nations which accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons, a charge Tehran denies. Washington has refused to rule out military action if diplomacy fails to resolve the row.
The declaration followed a speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin calling on the Caspian nations not to let any third country use their territory for an attack, a comment apparently directed at former Soviet state Azerbaijan.
The U.S. military has inspected airfields in Azerbaijan, which has a partnership deal with NATO, amid Russian media speculation they could be planning to use the facilities in a possible strike on Iran. Azeri officials deny any such plan.
Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan said "under no circumstances will they allow (the use of their) territories by third countries to launch aggression or other military action against any of the member states."
Also in the final declaration, they acknowledged the rights of all signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty -- which includes Iran -- to develop peaceful nuclear energy.
…
The summit aimed to bring the five states closer to a deal on how to divide the Caspian Sea and its huge oil and gas reserves but no final agreement was reached although the leaders outlined economic and other areas for more cooperation.
Comments: Update; high Oil prices are one of the reasons why Russian president Vladimir Putin is in Iran today. This summit of the Caspian nations aimed(s) to bring the five states closer to a deal on how to divide the Caspian Sea and its huge oil and gas reserves. Now that Oil is pushing to the $100.00 mark and beyond, the oil nations surrounding Caspian Sea are raking in the profits and are going to get even richer. Europe (as I have covered before) wants to bypass Russia and get a stake in the Caspian Sea oil and safeguard their energy needs for the future but Russia wants a stranglehold on the their market and will do whatever is necessary to keep control of it. (Read) Russia to maintain steady energy supplies to Europe This is one reason why Putin is the first Russian leader to travel to Tehran in over half a century.
All it would take is an attack on Iran and the final stage would be set. (Read) Putin Warns Against Attacks on Iran. It’s all about the oil.
"If these tensions escalate and the oil price leaps another $5 or $10, then it could well become a serious issue for the world economy,"
Eze 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Note: Israel - Jerusalem, Europe, Russia, Iran, Syria, oil, the economy, global weather, diseases and earthquakes etc, etc, are all coming together at the same time like never before. The Lord is awesome.
1Pe 4:7 ¶ But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
