Giscard spills the beans: EU treaty is constitution in disguise

30 October 2007 – The man behind the rejected European Constitution today admits that the new EU Treaty is merely the old document re-packaged to avoid referendums.
Former French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing said the Lisbon Treaty would be used to "rekindle from the ashes the flame of a United Europe".
His remarks will heap pressure on Gordon Brown to let the British public have their say on the blueprint for how Europe should be run.

But Mr Giscard d'Estaing - who helped to draft the constitution rejected in referendums in France and Holland in 2005 - told France's Le Monde newspaper: "The institutional proposals of the constitutional treaty are found complete in the Lisbon Treaty, only in a different order and inserted in former treaties.

"Just lift the lid and look in the toolbox - all the same innovative and effective tools are there, just as they were carefully crafted by the European Convention: a stable presidency, a streamlined Commission, a Parliament with genuine legislative rights, a Foreign Minister, even if he has been given another, inadequate title . . . and the most advanced charter of fundamental rights in the world." Most controversially, he concludes: "When the day comes that men and women with sweeping ambitions for Europe decide to make use of this treaty, they will be able to rekindle from the ashes of today the flame of a United Europe."

On December 13, European leaders and their entourages will fly to Portugal to sign the new European Reform Treaty. Just hours later, they will fly hundreds of miles to the EU's biannual summit in Brussels.
Comments: When the previous EU Constitution was rejected by the French and Dutch referendums in 2005 I have to admit I was baffled. How could Europe possibly be the Fourth Beast Empire that the bible tells about in Daniel and Rev. if there is no treaty binding the 27 countries together? There were dozens of articles saying the treaty was dead, buried, mortally wounded and never to be revived again. It didn’t make any sense at all, there had to be a treaty.
Now 2 years later the EU Constitution/Lisbon Treaty is back on track and set to be in force by the end of 2009. There is no difference between the first and the second text as Valery Giscard explains and most importantly, “they will be able to rekindle from the ashes of today the flame of a United Europe." This treaty is the fourth beast rising; it binds the 27 countries together into a monster union that the world has never seen before. Make no mistake about it, the wounded head is being revived and people need to understand this.
Although the word “beast” is used to describe the person of the Antichrist, it’s also used in Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 to describe his kingdom as well as previous world empires. The wounded beast is the world empire of ancient Rome, which was never completely destroyed like its predecessors. In the last days, the Roman Empire will appear once again, and the world will marvel at its appearance. The Revived Treaty is almost a parallel wounding of this Beast Empire, which makes this all the more interesting. I believe this treaty is the power that the Antichrist will receive enabling him to continue for 42 months. The bible never tells us how long he has already been in power for. Ponder that one.
The seven heads of the beast represent seven world empires. They are, in order of their rule.
1)
Egypt
2) Assyria
3) Babylonia
4) Medo-Persia
5) Greece
6) Rome
7) The Revived Roman Empire (The EU)
Re 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Re 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Note: With a signature of the pen it will be done and the Revived Roman Empire will be reborn.
Please read my previous comments May 2006. Back then, I didn’t think they would get this done so quickly.
