'600 Iranian missiles pointed at Israel'
Source: Jpost

17 September 2007 – Six hundred Iranian Shihab-3 missiles are pointed at targets throughout Israel, and will be launched if either Iran or Syria are attacked, an Iranian website affiliated with the regime reported on Monday.

"Iran will shoot at Israel 600 missiles if it is attacked," the Iranian news website, Assar Iran, reported. "600 missiles will only be the first reaction."

According to the report, dozens of locations throughout Iraq, which are being used by the US Army, have also been targeted.

The Shihab missile has a range of 1,300 km, and can reach anywhere in Israel.

On Sunday, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said that the nuclear Iranian crisis forces the world "to prepare for the worst," and said that in this case it "is war."

Kouchner emphasized, however, that negotiations should still be the preferred course of action.

Kouchner, quoted by French daily Le Figaro, added that "Iran does whatever it pleases in Iraq ... one cannot find in the entire world a crisis greater than this one."

Comments:  Update; Do you wait for Iran to build an atomic weapon or risk the 600 missiles raining in on Israel? This is the question that Israel and the United states have asked themselves many times in the past. Like the article above mentioned, one cannot find in the entire world a crisis greater than this one." The Iranian problem is a world crisis a problem that has enormous consequences no matter what the outcome. This crisis is fast approaching the critical level due to this number one concern… Russian nuclear fuel ready to ship to Iran, official says  Enriched uranium fuel is ready to be shipped from Russia to Iran's first nuclear power plant, state television on Sunday quoted Iran's foreign minister as saying.

Once Iran gets this fuel they will be ready to start up their nuclear power plant but by that time it will be too late. Hitting a hot plant will cause another Chernobyl, it’s that simple. Now the world is scrambling to avert a disaster France moots EU-wide Iran sanctions but it may already be too late to make Iran stand down. Will 600 missiles or an atomic Iran be the outcome? Keep an eye on that Russian nuclear fuel.

Jesus has everything in control and will not abandon Israel.

Eze 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Wheat Rises After Australia Cuts Crop Estimate on Dry Weather
Source: bloomberg

17 September 2007 –
Wheat futures gained for a third day after Australia slashed its harvest forecast 31 percent because of dry weather, adding pressure to global inventories that are headed for a 26-year low.

Output may be 15.5 million metric tons in the harvest starting October, the Canberra-based Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics said today in a statement. That compares with the agency's June estimate of 22.5 million tons and last year's crop of 9.8 million tons.

``It's a surprise,'' Takaki Shigemoto, an analyst at broker Okachi & Co. said by telephone from Tokyo. ``We have no idea how far wheat futures will go up.''

Wheat for December delivery rose as much as 18.75 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $8.9375 a bushel, and traded at $8.92 in after- hours electronic trade on the Chicago Board of Trade at 10:02 a.m. Singapore time. Wheat futures reached a record $9.1125 a bushel on Sept. 12.

Prices for wheat, used to make bread and noodles as well as to feed livestock, have more than doubled in the past year. Adverse weather in Europe, Ukraine and Canada reduced output and pushed global stockpiles toward a 26-year low, raising costs for food makers, including Kellogg Co., and fueling inflation.

Wheat prices skyrocket
Source: KHQA

17 September 2007 –
You're probably noticing you're paying more for bread and pasta these days.  The reason...wheat prices have hit an all time high of $9 a bushel. That's compared to just $5 a bushel at the start of summer.

But why the high prices? There's a wheat shortage that's starting to be felt across the world.  You may have seen riots in Italy, where pasta prices are up 20 percent.  In this country, a loaf of bread is up an average of 13 cents... We checked into why this price hike is happening.

Here's what we found out for this KHQA fact finder report.  Some of the reasons for higher wheat prices will sound familiar...That's because they're the same reasons that dairy and corn-based product prices have shot up this year.

Farmers are now planting more corn to take advantage of the ethanol demand, so there are fewer fields to plant wheat.  And those grains are already in short supply because of droughts in other wheat-producing places like Canada, Australia and Europe.  So high demand and low inventory adds up to higher prices.  Add that to increased costs of milk and eggs, and your trip to the grocery store is getting more expensive.

Comments:  Update; the estimate is worse than they thought. Now look at what they are saying about the prices of Wheat today…``We have no idea how far wheat futures will go up.'' For the second time in as many days I decided to take a look at Barley and it should come as no surprise that…

Barley markets continue to skyrocket In trying to describe the latest activity in the barley markets, Randy Brag from the Valley Grain Services in Casselton, N.D., said he is almost speechless.
We are well into record high prices for both feed and malting barley and, as Brag puts it, “No one can really predict what's going to happen next. This is no man's land.
“Prices could go up a dollar so fast or we could drop a dollar just as fast. This is as speculative as I have ever seen barley,” he continued. “Barley normally moves a nickel every once in a while, but nothing like this. To a lot of us right now this market makes no sense.”

Comments Continued…In my opinion this is just a small indication of where this will go during the Tribulation period. The world is fast approaching that period now. Make no mistake about it. We need to get ready.

Re 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Thanks for the emails…please keep them coming!  Rick@WatchmenWatching.com
