They call him Jesus of Siberia

August 4, 2007 -- At least 5,000 people have moved to Siberia to follow a former traffic police officer they believe is Jesus Christ.

 

Ten kilometres from the nearest road, in the vast Siberian wilderness, a bearded man in flowing white linen robes sat at his kitchen table and talked about his crucifixion at the hands of Pontius Pilate 2,000 years ago.

 

“When I saw Vissarion, my heart said, ‘This is him. This is the one, the teacher I have been waiting for all my life,’” said Lyuba Derbina, 44, a former Red Cross translator from Murmansk. “Yes, I believe he is Jesus Christ. I know it, like I know I’m breathing, and that’s it.” UNQUOTE

 

Comments:  Mark 13:[21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not.  Matthew 24:[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  1 John 2:[18] Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

 

At no time since Jesus spoke the above words has there been reported so many false Christs as today.  It seems that you can hardly pick up a newspaper or surf onto an Internet news site without some charlatan claiming to be Jesus Christ in the flesh.  Their deluded brainwashed followers really believe they are witnessing God’s Son, but in reality, they’re antichrists.  They fall down and prostrate themselves in worship of such men of the Devil.  The real Jesus has not returned yet.  How do we know that?  Well, the 7-year Tribulation Period hasn’t come yet.  We have not experienced the wrath of God poured down upon Earth.  The Antichrist (AC) must be revealed before Jesus physically returns and as of right now, the AC hasn’t been identified.  Finally, we pre-Tribbers believe we won’t be here on Earth to see who AC will be.  Jesus Christ is still in Heaven and all false Christ followers are being led the piper, Satan, straight to Hell.

Spain proposes Mediterranean Union

August 4, 2007 -- Spain's foreign minister has proposed a Mediterranean Union, an idea first suggested by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, with fully fledged institutions along the lines of the European Union.

 

"The moment has arrived ... to build a real geopolitical space through the establishment of a Mediterranean Union," Miguel Angel Moratinos wrote in an article in yesterday's El Pais, a prominent Spanish daily.

 

A union comprising EU states and Mediterranean countries should have a council of heads of state and government that would set strategic policy guidelines, ministerial councils, a Permanent Commission to act as a secretariat, a reinforced parliamentary assembly and even its own bank, he said. "The organization would help the region tackle challenges ranging from environmental issues to immigration."

 

Moratinos' comments follow a meeting of foreign ministers from Mediterranean EU countries in Slovenia this month, which discussed expanding the existing Barcelona Process of regular meetings between EU member states and Mediterranean states.

 

The Barcelona Euro-Mediterranean partnership, created in 1995 at the height of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, has been dogged by the failure to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict. Other obstacles to the declared objectives of promoting political, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as creating a Mediterranean free trade area by 2010, have been agricultural protectionism in southern Europe and the opaque, authoritarian nature of many south Mediterranean governments. Spain tried to stage a first Euro-Mediterranean summit in Barcelona in 2005, but most Arab leaders stayed away.

 

Sarkozy has suggested that, instead of joining the EU, Turkey play a central role in a Mediterranean Union, an idea strongly rejected by Ankara.

 

Comments:  First, it was the new president of France proposing a Mediterranean Union with Turkey being urged to lead it and now Spain has joined the chorus.  The momentum for such a union is based on Bible prophecy which predicts the revival of the Old Roman Empire which consisted of European nations and countries with shorelines on the Mediterranean Sea.  Whether your country is a member of the EU or the secondary class Mediterranean Union, it really doesn’t matter in the long run.  Both parts constitute the Revived Roman Empire which is a precursor to the One World Government behemoth under Antichrist where no particular country is more important than another as the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts.  One by one, the last days’ puzzle pieces are falling into place.

Ehud Olmert to propose more "Gestures" to Mahmoud Abbas

August 5, 2007 -- In yet another round of “gestures” to “strengthen” the rule of Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas on PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is likely to authorize the entry into Israel of tens of thousands of Arabs to work inside green line Israel when the two meet in Jericho on Monday.

 

The “gestures” could include granting work permits to 30,000 PA workers, and another 20,000 to merchants seeking to sell their products to Israelis. Other “gestures” could include developing a second list of Fatah-affiliated terrorists that Olmert would release from Israeli prisons, in return for the terrorists' promise to behave, as well as the IDF's redeploying outside PA cities, which would allow terrorists to plan attacks against Israel unhindered.

 

Comments:  Israel must have a really low unemployment rate in order to absorb 30,000 Palestinians workers.  She is truly a land flowing with milk and honey and possesses a vast amount of spoils.  It’s no wonder that in the near future, Russia and a host of Muslim countries will cast their envious eyes on her.  With her technology advancements, agricultural and mineral wealth, she’s the toast of the Middle East region, notwithstanding the greedy oil saturated Saudis, Kuwaitis, UAEs, etc.  Wars have occurred in the past due to envy and greed.  Israel doesn’t help the situation in broadcasting her ample fullness.   These thousands of Palestinians holding work permits won’t be content with going to work in Israel in the morning and returning to their dingy apartments in the West Bank.  They’ll want to live inside Israel and who will tell them “no”.  They’ll get their wish and before you know it, hundreds of thousands will exclaim, “you made an exception for them, why not for us?”  Gestures before negotiating a final peace treaty is playing fire with the contentious issue of the “right of return”.

The “Simpsons” offend Christians according to a ChristiaNet.com poll

August 5, 2007 -- ChristiaNet.com, the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked participants in a recent poll, "Is 'The Simpsons Movie' appropriate for Christians?" The majority of Christians polled had not seen the movie, but based their answers on their opinion of the TV show. According to Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet, "It is refreshing to see that the majority of Christians can discern when entertainment is crossing the line."

 

Out of 570 Christians polled, 51% responded "No." As one participant said, "I have not seen the movie, but if it's like the TV show then no way." Based on comments from this group such as "crude humor", "derogatory", "disrespectful", "vulgar language", it seems they were offended by the show.

 

Comments:  For the very few times on the news, Christians have demonstrated their spiritual discernment although 51% isn’t exactly a resounding majority.  The vulgar “Simpsons: Homer, Marge and Bart” are the devious creation of haters of the Judeo-Christian faith.  As with most liberal Hollywood producers, directors, writers and actors, their anti-God nature is revealed in their association with the current trend of ridiculing and denigrating anything to do with God, Jesus and the Holy Bible.  Nevertheless, liberal theologians try to tell us we can learn godly lessons about the “Simpsons”, “Harry Potter”, the “Beatles” and the “Rolling Stones”.  Calling good evil and evil good is the spirit of antichrist that’s pervading this sin drenched world.  Homer Simpson and his literal putdown of the “typical” Christian Ned Flanders ought to be enough to turn any true believer off of this profane cartoon “comedy”, but the 49% of believers looked the other way to what’s offending to Lord in order to enjoy their fare and in the process, participate in the smearing of our Lord’s personage and what He stands for.  Traitors of the faith is what they are and they’ll have to explain this when they appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ.  The Devil doesn’t need the help of Christians but he doesn’t mind the labour being freely offered.  2 Corinthians 5:[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  James 4:[4] Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
