Syria’s President Assad sworn in for second 7-year presidential term

President Bashar Assad was sworn in Tuesday for a second, seven-year term in office. The Syrian leader took the oath of office before the 250-seat People’s Assembly, or parliament, to a thunderous applause by legislators.

 

Assad was re-elected May 27 by 97.62 percent of the votes in a referendum boycotted by the opposition and dismissed by critics as a sham. He was the only candidate in the “No” or “Yes” vote. Assad, a British-educated ophthalmologist, came to power in 2000, succeeding his father, the late Hafez Assad.

 

Comments:  Daniel 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. There’s that number 7 again!  The new EU budget that came into effect on January 1, 2007 is for a 7-year duration.  Earlier this week, we read that newly selected Israeli President Shimon Peres’ post is for 7 years.  There are 7 years left in which God will deal with His people Israel before Jesus brings in His Messianic Kingdom.  The Rapture event is imminent and right after, Satan’s son of perdition, the man of peace will forge Middle East peace.  The above verse speaks about the king of the north referring to the Antichrist whom quite a few Bible prophecy lovers believe will be an Assyrian (an Arab).  The Arab country that is situated north (in the Old Testament, all geographical locations are in relation to Israel) of Israel is Syria whose present day leader is Bashar Al-Assad.

 

The buzz these days is that in this summer’s impending war between Israel and Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran (possibly), Syria’s capital city of Damascus will be totalled by either Israel or God (refer to Isaiah 17:1).  If that will be the case, how could an Assyrian become the Antichrist?  Bashar is an unchallenged  despot like Saddam Hussein was.  He cares not for his people’s welfare, only his own.  The call that’s out there is: either there will be a summer 2007 war or Syria will be the next country to sign a peace treaty with Israel.  If the latter, the world’s jaws will fall wide open at this most unlikely of peace agreement to last the duration of Bashar’s term in office.  Could Bashar Al-Assad become the man of peace?  The destruction of Damascus would occur at the end of the Tribulation Period when Jesus returns to Earth to judge all the goat nations and to cast alive both the Antichrist and the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire.

 

Notice that Brit Tony Blair will have lots to talk to Bashar who was also educated in England.

Is Tony Blair going to solve the Middle East conflict?

He might like to think so, but he's actually constrained by the narrow job description as defined by the international Quartet which appointed him. The Quartet's top negotiators – from the United States, Russia, European Union and United Nations – plan to meet in Lisbon on Thursday for the first high-level talks with Mr Blair since he was named Middle East envoy, and will obviously discuss his exact involvement. After that, he'll be off to the Middle East in the next week or so.

 

The Quartet decided that he should concentrate on building up Palestinian democratic institutions and economic development. He'll have a Jerusalem office where he is expected to spend a week every month. But diplomats are wondering how much time he will actually spend in the region, and whether he will delegate the dirty work to his staff. All sorts of suggestions about a bigger role for Mr Blair have been made in the last few days by a variety of players. But Mr Blair himself insists that he is happy to stick to the mandate spelled out by the Quartet, which remains the sponsor of the so-called "roadmap" for peace. He's obviously got some room for manoeuvre, but this is an area where big egos are at play and he will have to watch his back.

 

Comments:  Tony Blair the miracle worker?  That would be sweet music to his ears.  His job description will be clarified once he has met with the Quartet’s people who get their own marching orders from their elitist masters who prefer to be incognito.  Of course, Mr. Blair doesn’t want to be a floor sweeper or any that sort.  He prefers to be in the thick of negotiations with the Arabs and Jews.  He didn’t quit his British prime minister’s post to be a chef’s assistant.  He’ll be the chief chef or he’s going home to old London Town.

 

I think Tony Blair is in the Middle East action at this juncture in time for a specific purpose.  Although we cannot gauge Satan’s future actions, we do know that he is determined to establish a global government with his empowered Antichrist to rule over it.  That cannot happen until he convinces Israel to enter into a false peace with the Arabs/Muslims.  Although Israel’s leaders are mostly blinded souls, there are a few who revere God of the Old Testament and are wary of the international community’s unrelenting pressure on tiny Israel to make peace.  Mr. Blair is an accomplished negotiator.  If anyone can get it done, he would be the one.  Let’s see exactly what’s in his job description before we throw confetti his way.

Bill Clinton and G.W. Bush are political soul mates

Remember that it was President Bill Clinton who first proposed what came to be called the USA Patriot Act. Of course, he failed to convince a GOP Congress to approve the measure. However, G.W. Bush succeeded where Clinton failed. Remember, too, that it was President Bill Clinton who gave us NAFTA, something G.W. Bush has not only supported but expanded into the SPP and a burgeoning North American Community. Furthermore, both Bush and Clinton are major players in the push for amnesty for illegal aliens. And the list just goes on and on.

 

Face it folks: the Bushes and Clintons are political soul mates. Therefore, why should it be surprising that many Bush supporters are now working for the Hillary Clinton campaign?"

 

Comments:  Like the late former Governor of Alabama George Wallace (independent running for U.S. president) used to say, “There’s not a nickel’s worth of difference between Democrats and Republicans.”  On paper, the Democrats are supposedly liberal God rejecters while the Republicans are God fearing conservatives.  In practice, both party members paint the town red with strippers, hookers and male prostitutes.  They can cuss with the best of Navy Seals.  If most Americans knew that there’s really no discernable difference between the donkey and the elephant parties, they would be outraged!

 

In real life, the Bush family and Bill Clinton are as close knit as co-joined twins.  George H. Bush Sr. quipped that Bill was the older brother of George W.  There’s mutual admiration.  The apparent differences in ideology are meant for public consumption.  It was George H. Bush Sr. who revived the term “New World Order” during Desert Storm 1991.  Mr. Clinton was also recruited by the elitists operating behind the scenes ordering world events.  Clinton is a Bilderberger and a member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Affairs) while Bush Sr. is a Trilateralist and a Skull & Bones member.  When Bush Sr. displeased his masters in 1992, it was game over for him.  Clinton then became the groomed future U.S. president.  (You could see that Bush Sr. accepted this decision gracefully and that was why he ran a rather lacklustre passionless re-election campaign.)  Is there’s really a difference between Coke and Pepsi?  After tasting both for quite a while, I can’t tell anymore.  The same with the Dems and the GOP.

Attacking "God" becomes a lucrative book business

"There is nothing new under the sun," proclaims the Book of Ecclesiastes. The rise of the new new atheism confirms this ancient biblical wisdom.

 

Of course the famous words of Ecclesiastes should not be taken in a slavishly literal sense, a technique that is all-too-common among those who think they can refute belief in God by showing that the Bible abounds in demonstrably false and self-contradictory statements.

 

But one stunning new development under the sun is that promulgating atheism has become a lucrative business. According to a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, in less than 12 months atheism's newest champions have sold close to a million books. Some 500,000 hardcover copies are in print of Richard Dawkins's "The God Delusion" (2006); 296,000 copies of Christopher Hitchens's "God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything" (2007); 185,000 copies of Sam Harris's "Letter to a Christian Nation" (2006); 64,100 copies of Daniel C. Dennett's "Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon"; and 60,000 copies of Victor J. Stenger's "God: The Failed Hypothesis: How Science Shows that God Does not Exist" (2007).

 

Comments:  Psalm 14:[1] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Devil’s special agents (atheists) most likely didn’t care whether their vile books made a lot of money or not.  The Devil is wealthy enough.  He’s more interested in attacking the existence of God and trying to get as many dupes (God called them fools) discrediting God, Jesus and the Bible.  The more atheists, agnostics and Christ rejecters he can get on his side of the fence the merrier the Lake of Fire will be.  The Devil and his fallen angels (demons) know their eventual fate because they believe in the Word of God, nevertheless, that doesn’t stop them from trying to rob Jesus of His glory from having a multitude of saved souls with Him in the New Jerusalem.

 

A poll conducted earlier this year indicated an increase in the percentage of people being atheistic.  That was not all that surprising because just right after the Rapture event, the only humans left on the planet will be atheists, agnostics and Christ rejecters.  Truly tragic.

Farmers face drought, then plague of 'rats': Billions of rodents overrun Chinese province

It was early morning when an odd noise awoke Tao Qunxian, a farmer in this village on the banks of Dongting Lake in Hunan province. He looked out his front door to see his entire rice paddy had disappeared overnight. The culprit was a seasonal pest: the eastern field mouse, also referred to here as the rat.

 

Since they first appeared this year in mid-June, more than two billion field mice have been killed, according to state media reports. Three cities on the banks of Dongting Lake have been overwhelmed with millions of rodents fleeing water-logged homes, as parts of central and southern China suffer one of the worst flood seasons in 50 years.

 

"You can even hear them as they bite the rice -- chir chir chir. It's deafening," said Tao, the former party secretary of this village of 800. At their peak, the mice can destroy a one-acre field in a single afternoon.

 

"I don't remember how many there were, but there were so many I couldn't count them," said Tao Binfei, 65, a wheat and cotton farmer who also grows sesame, corn and sweet potatoes. "You can easily step on them just by walking on the road, there are so many."

 

Comments:  Luke 21:[11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.  Author John Steinbeck of “Of Mice and Men” fame would have drawn inspiration for his book sequel from the experiences of these Chinese farmers.  All kidding aside, the increase of pestilence (mice/rats spread disease), drought and famine is just a preview of the conditions that will be commonplace during the upcoming 7-year Tribulation Period.  The rider on the white horse will come forth with a peace plan to be followed by war, worldwide famine and death.  China will not be excluded.

 

Currently, the wealthy Chinese government officials and entrepreneurs are immune to the losses that are being felt by these farmers.  If the rat infestation continues to strip rice fields of their bountiful crop, China can always turn to the U.S. to import Texas rice.  But, what happens when America’s rice crop is decimated by a similar plague of field mice/rats?  You’re talking about a dire food supply situation.  According to the UN, the world cannot sustain 6.5 billion souls with its present food supply.  Hundreds of babies are being born every minute and the clock won’t stop ticking.  Planet Earth ravaged by pestilence, drought and famines would turn desperate people into cannibals.  What turmoil sin has brought upon mankind!
