Mideast peace treaty possible this month, says Egyptian Emad Gad

A meeting between the Quartet, the Palestinian Authority, and Israeli leaders will take place in Egypt mid-July, announced EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana.

 

Political analyst from the Al Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies Emad Gad told The Daily Star Egypt that he believed the countries were very close to negotiating a peace treaty delineating a two-state solution “very close” to what former PM Arafat was said to have been offered at the 2000 Camp David meeting.

 

He believes that “ ‘moderate’ Palestinians are ready to sign a peace treaty with Israel.”

 

“It is looking positive in the West Bank,” he says, where Israel has returned tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority and the EU has resumed relations with the territory. Abbas is also supported by the US, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

 

Abbas is actually stronger than before, explains Gad, as he and his Fatah Party no longer need to take approval or agreement from Hamas, as was the case under their unity government.

 

Comments:  The West Bank is looking positive?  You don’t say, Mr. Gad?  The last I heard, Hamas is preparing invasion and take-over plans for the West Bank and an exit visa for Abbas, i.e. a 4’ x 10’ x 6’ deep grave.  The only way that’s not going to happen if Israel takes security measures to protect the Fatah Party leaders there.

 

2007 has been tossed around as the year that Jesus comes back to Earth.  Instead of Jesus, the world will be fooled by the Devil’s man of peace, the future Antichrist.  In 2000, Yasser Arafat was a credit card thickness away from making peace with Israel thanks to some strong‑arming of Israel by then U.S. President Bill Clinton.  Arafat stunned the world with his “No” response.  Seven years later, this Egyptian can feel in his gut that Middle East peace will be forged this month.  Does he have the inside scoop on all the posturing that’s going behind the scenes?  Did Senor Solana let the peace cat out of its bag?  Being that this is an Egyptian website which reported this prediction, one can take it with a grain of salt, but you never know?!  Strange things happen when the Devil’s brew crew is cooking up a storm.

Al Qaeda's No. 2 says end of West imminent, video shows

In a newly released videotaped message similar to a "fireside chat," al Qaeda's second-in-command issues advice and directives for the Muslim world, terrorism expert Laura Mansfield said Wednesday.

 

Al Qaeda's second-in-command Alman al-Zawahiri urges Muslims around the world to continue their fight against the West.

 

 In the one-hour, 34-minute video, titled "The Advice of One Concerned," Ayman al-Zawahiri includes clips from other videos and news broadcasts, including one from al-Furqan, the video production arm of the Islamic State of Iraq, according to Mansfield, who obtained the video.

 

Al-Zawahiri says in the message that the defeat of the West is imminent, and that "the enemy" is trying to forestall the inevitable, Mansfield said.

 

"The good omens of the new dawn of victory have begun to loom on the horizon, with Allah's permission and will," he says.

 

"And the stage preceding victory is normally, in the history of nations, the stage in which there is most seen an increase in conspiracies, plots and inciting of discord in an attempt by the enemy, who has begun to see his defeat approach, to push back and delay the defeat as much as he can."

 

Al-Zawahiri does not reference the recent terrorism incidents in the United Kingdom in the video.

 

Comments:  The end is near for the decadent West.  We didn’t need Al-Zawahiri to tell us that.  The hedonistic, self-loving, sin gratifying Westerners have brought upon themselves their deserved downfall.  The turning away from God to the worship of idols and mammon is the last spike driven into the track that leads to destruction.  Islam plans to be the executioner that puts the decadent West out of its misery.  Al Qaeda has been threatening further attacks on American soil since 9/11 and with this No. 1 terrorist organization, those threats will come to past sooner or later.  The summer of 2007 could very well be an anxiety filled terrifying summer for Americans who dwell in large metropolitan centers as well as Western countries which Al Qaeda considers to be anti-Islam, pro-America.  Al Qaeda has so many operatives overseas that some will penetrate the network of security and defence that are arrayed against them.  Dirty nukes, suitcase bombs, off-shore nukes, you name it, Al Qaeda most likely possess them and it’s going to deploy them.  The decline of the American Empire started with her moral declension and will be consummated by her physical destruction.

France’s Sarkozy to negotiate between the Mideast parties?

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was due to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris on Friday, the first encounter between the two since the right-wing French politician took office last month.

 

According to David Martinon, Sarkozy’s spokesman, Sarkozy will express to Abbas France’s solidarity for the Palestinian presidents efforts in "fighting extremism" and trying to achieve "national reconciliation.”

 

Sarkozy will also meet Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Jordan’s King Abdullah next week, and could decide as a result to help negotiate between Middle East parties, Martinon said.

 

Comments:  There are more Middle East peace negotiator wannabes than replacement candidates for The Price Is Right’s Bob Barker.  Anybody with past success as a negotiator, please line up after Tony Blair and now, French president Nicolas Sarkozy.  The list has become as bloated as python with a fat field rat coursing through its belly.  This shows us that there’s a growing urgency to get the Israelis and the Palestinians to put down their guns and embrace each other as peace partners.  Also, Satan’s future Antichrist, Earth’s man of peace is pulling the strings on his puppets to accelerate their efforts to lay the groundwork necessary for him to step in at the last moment, proclaim his miraculous peace proposals, and receive all the accolades for himself.  Like a mob godfather, his willing captains will be relegated to the back seats knowing their reward was they were fortunate to have jobs.  What you see and hear concerning Middle East peace efforts are all orchestrated by Satan whose end game is the destruction of Israel through this false peace.  1 Thessalonians 5:[3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Poland stays tough on EU treaty

Poland has reaffirmed it will not bow to pressure from its EU partners and is set to push for a fresh debate on the voting system in upcoming talks on a new treaty for the bloc.

 

"We're going to talk about this at the intergovernmental conference simply because, when something is decided, it has to be acted upon", Polish prime minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski told Polish public radio on Wednesday (4 July).

 

Poland's main concern centres around a specific part of the voting system which allows countries to delay an EU decision if they fall just short of the required number of countries to block it.

 

Warsaw claims it secured a gentleman's agreement at a meeting of EU leaders last month, allowing countries to delay decisions by up to two years.

 

However, the written mandate for negotiating a new EU treaty only promises a reasonable delay, which some officials say should not exceed four months.

 

According to Mr Kaczynski, it was "a technical error" not to explicitly type in a two-year blocking period to the final agreement.

 

"We negotiated two years there and it does not appear [in the text] because – let's be clear about this – nobody signed anything there. Everything was verbal. It all took place very fast and in the early hours of the morning, after two days of talks", the reportedly tougher of the Kaczynski twins said.

 

Comments:  It appears Poland is Poles apart (pun intended) with the EU when it comes to the revised EU treaty.  Such so called ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ means nothing, but a hollow handshake in which the head nods “Yes, yes” while the mind says “No!!!!!!!” with the hand mimicking the head movement.  Say “Yes” to get the Poles to think they’re going to get a ‘reasonable’ delay for up to 2 years, but stun them later with a ‘4‑month’ maximum.  Poland has been a pain in the derriere since its admission to EU membership.   It was the first former Soviet Warsaw Pact country to enter the mostly capitalistic EU club.  Now, its gratitude has been turned into a bitter drink for its EU benefactors.  The heat will be turned up on Poland to get on board the EU treaty train, keep its mouth shut, enjoy the ride, and arrive at the common destination ready to work alongside all the other members.

Prominent evangelical scholar takes on Mormonism in 'Christian' debate

Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, argued that Mormonism cannot be considered part of the Christian faith because it rejects historic Christianity.

 

“We are not talking here about the post-modern conception of Christianity that minimizes truth,” Mohler wrote. “We are not talking about Christianity as a mood or as a sociological movement. We are not talking about liberal Christianity that minimizes doctrine or about sectarian Christianity which defines the faith in terms of eccentric doctrines.

 

“We are talking about historic, traditional, Christian orthodoxy,” the theologian stated.

 

Mohler, who often represents the Christian voice on shows such as CNN’S “Larry King Live” and Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” pointed out that Mormons reject one of Christianity’s central tenets – the Trinity. Instead of believing in one God in three forms, Mormons believe in many gods.

 

Comments:  Praise Jesus for faithful Christians such as Mr. Mohler for telling the Mormons straight to their faces that they’re not Christian but a cult of the Devil.  Mormons and Christianity do not belong in the same sentence.  Goodie goodie 2 shoes such as NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young (grandson of Brigham Young) and the singing Osmonds (including Donny and Marie) must be informed of the truth no matter how shocking and painful it is.  It’s because God loves their souls that the clear message is being broadcast on TV and over the Internet in order to liberate Satan’s prison of his blinded slaves.  Time is of the essence.  Members of other cults such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventist, Christian Science, Scientology, Roman Catholicism (yes, it’s a cult because its salvation is based on faith PLUS works; all works based religions are not of God) must be awaken of their perilous state. Matthew 24:[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  Galatians 1:[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
