Peres blasts Ahmadinejad, Nasrallah
Source: Jerusalem Post
Jpost.com staff and greer fay cashman, THE JERUSALEM POST Jul. 30, 2007
In an interview with National Public Radio in the US on Monday, President Shimon Peres called Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "an unbelievable joke." The president then went on to say that the Iranian premier was "worshipping the bomb more than he's worshipping the God in heaven."
"My impression is that in his eyes the nuclear bomb is higher than Allah," Peres said.
The president also hinted that skyrocketing unemployment and inflation were not high on the Iranian premier's priority list. "All the attention is about the bomb, but people cannot live on a bomb," he said.
Comments: The President of Iran may be a joke, but nobody is laughing. This is a dangerous man. That he worships the bomb more than God in heaven is self-evident, as he worships not God, but Satan. His hatred for Israel knows no bounds.
We do have assurance that God Himself will deal with Iran in the Gog-Magog war. The trick is to keep him out of mischief until that time. A nuclear-armed Iran is a danger not only to Israel, but to the entire world, especially the United States. Ahmadinejad would not hesitate to sell or even give atomic bombs to terrorists for use against The U.S. and her allies. Israel or the U.S. must be prepared to take out Iranian nuclear facilities before they go too far.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (Daniel 10:12-14)
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: (Ezekiel 38:1-5)

‘Possible Attack on the U.S. Within Ninety Days’
Source: FamiluSecurityMatters.org
By FSM Editors
Counterterrorism expert Juval Aviv met recently with reporters at Fox News and revealed information, which he believes is accurate, concerning an imminent Al Qaeda attack on five to seven American cities simultaneously.
"I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most,” said Mr. Aviv.
Mr. Aviv knows of that which he speaks. He is a former Israeli Counterterrorism Intelligence Officer and has also served as a special consultant to the U.S. Congress on issues of terrorism and security. He is best known as the source of the 1984 book, Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by George Jonas, on which Steven Spielberg's film Munich was based. He is also the author of The Complete Terrorism Survival Guide: How to Travel, Work and Live in Safety (2003); and Staying Safe: The Complete Guide to Protecting Yourself, Your Family, and Your Business (2004).
Currently, Aviv is the president of Interfor, Inc., a corporate investigations firm in New York City.
So it is clear that Aviv has the background and experience in global terror and its operating methods to warrant taking his current warnings seriously. It would be foolish to ignore or minimize this counterterrorism veteran’s expert prognosis. Mr. Aviv told Fox that, from what his sources have been relating, sleeper cells that already have been placed inside the continental United States are on the verge of carrying out major attacks.
“What they’re going to do," he explained, "is hit six, seven or eight cities simultaneously to show sophistication and really hit the public. This time, which is the message of the day, it will not only be big cities. They’re going to try to hit rural America. They want to send a message to rural America: "You’re not protected. If you figured out that if you just move out of New York and move to Montana or to Pittsburgh, you’re not immune. We’re going [to] get you wherever we can and it’s easier there than in New York."
Comments: First off, a disclaimer: I am not familiar with Family Security Matters nor with Mr. Aviv, so I am taking this story with a huge grain of salt. However, even the boy who cried “Wolf!” was eventually right. And there are certainly groups out there who would love to damage or destroy America, They will surely attack us again, although not necessarily within ninety days.
It would behoove us, as Americans, to prepare for an attack as best we can, Keep plenty of nonperishable foodstuffs and bottled water on hand. You should also keep a good flashlight and a battery-operated radio, as well as plenty of spare batteries I also recommend keeping at least one firearm handy, but don’t forget to childproof it. I strongly suggest that you keep at least a month’s supply of your prescription medications as well as a spare pair of eyeglasses and the best first-aid kit you can afford.
Jesus promised to take us out of the Tribulation, but he didn’t promise smooth sailing in the meantime. And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)

Ehud Olmert’s ‘gesture’ opens door to 'right of return' for Arabs
Source: www.israelnationalnews.com
July 30, 2007 -- Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s latest “good will gesture” to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has smashed Israel's long-standing policy rejecting the “right of return” for the generations of descendants of Arabs who fled Israel during the 1948 War of Independence.
Olmert decided to allow the immigration into Judea and Samaria of 41 Iraqi descendants of such Arabs who lived in British Mandatory Palestine. All have claimed to have family members living in the PA-controlled areas.
Government officials assured reporters that each of the would-be Arab immigrants would undergo a thorough security check before entering the Jewish State. Officials added that a smaller group of Iraqis who asked to be allowed to join family members living in Gaza was rejected.
Arab countries have long demanded that Israel absorb more than five million Arabs from foreign countries who claim to be descendants of the approximately half a million Arabs who fled during the 1948 war in Israel, when the surrounding Arab countries tried to destroy the nascent Jewish state.
The Arab nations who united to attack Israel encouraged those Arabs to leave, explaining they could return after the expected annihilation of the new state.
Every previous government has rejected the Arab "right of return" demand.
Comments: Mr. Olmert better be extra careful in the future about his ‘gestures’. (I remember one inadvertent hand gesture by a baseball manager who picked his nose (which his catcher mistakenly took for a curveball) and the pitcher served up a fat 3-run homerun that cost the team the game.) Once Mr. Olmert opened the door slightly to allow displaced Arabs to return to Israel proper, the floodgates will be thrown wide open. Of course, he’ll argue that these 41 Iraqis were an exception and that there’s no way 5 million Palestinian refugees will be allowed to seek permanent residency. The current 6:1 ratio of Jews to Arabs in Israel is problematic enough without even entertaining the thought of a 1:1 ratio. Jews must overwhelmingly comprise the nation’s population as God commanded His people not to intermarry and drive the Gentiles out of the land, otherwise, it won’t be the Jewish state.
On the flip side of the Middle East peace coin, Israel cannot be expected to stand firm on the “right of return’ issue. Some Palestinians (say 500,000) will be allowed to return based on their academic and professional qualifications. The rest will be monetarily compensated by the U.N. (i.e. American taxpayers) if they can prove their ancestors had been in “Palestine” on May 18, 1948, the date of Israel’s statehood.

Shared sovereignty may be the solution to the Jerusalem conundrum
Source: www.dailystar.com
July 30, 2007 -- Despite recent setbacks, President George W. Bush's July 16th call for an autumn multinational peace conference on Israel and Palestine underlines both the importance - and the possibility - of a solution. From Iraq, to Kosovo to Lebanon to Israel and Palestine, the United States and the broader international community finds itself struggling to find solutions to ethnic-religious conflict for control over territory.
Central, and evasive, to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has always been finding a solution for Jerusalem - and the holy city remains both the symbol and the cornerstone of the conflict between Israel and the Muslim world. It is also a symbol of America's failure in the Middle East, and a lynchpin to winning the "war of ideas" with the Muslim world.
At a recent closed-door gathering of former Israeli and Palestinian negotiators in Washington, one of the concepts that was rapidly and relatively easily agreed upon was the idea of "shared" sovereignty over the Old City of Jerusalem - known in international law as a "condominium."
It was quite surprising to many of the seasoned American observers that these Israeli and Palestinian negotiators were so ready to agree to share the holiest and most emotional part of their conflict - what lies between the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem - while they otherwise endorsed a barrier to separate themselves.
But why were they so willing to agree to share Jerusalem - so precious to both - while on other issues, they spent so much time haggling? And why were they not willing to share much else?
The answer: Experience. The Israelis and Palestinians in the room were mostly veteran negotiators who had watched peace talks fail in 2001 and weren't willing to let that happen again. They had come to realize just how painful the issue of Jerusalem was for both sides, that neither side could feel whole without Jerusalem, and that separation arrangements were unworkable when emotions flared over a few feet of Jerusalem stone.
Comments: How many sleepless nights have the world community leaders had bashing their craniums against the wall wondering what to do about Jerusalem? The city of David (former King of Israel) is the most contentious issue among the many roadblocks to Middle East peace. The Palestinians have demanded sovereignty over the eastern part of the city. Israel’s leaders, on the other hand, have rejected outright any notion of dividing the city. They have divided the country, but not the city, but from a practical standpoint, the Arabs populate East Jerusalem in large numbers while the Israeli Knesset is located in the more prosperous and modern West Jerusalem. Thus, Jerusalem is, in all intents and purpose, a divided city. Jerusalem will be officially divided unless the Vatican and the EU use their power of persuasion to convince both parties that the city is to be owned and controlled by neither, but is to be an international city to be enjoyed by all of Earth’s peoples. This way, no Jew or Arab can lay claim to Jerusalem. The Palestinians will be urged to establish their capital city in Ramallah in the West Bank.
The headquarters of the future Antichrist will be Jerusalem for he will be the global dictator who will guarantee Israel’s peace and security for 3.5 years.

Arabs skeptical of Middle East peace conference
Source: Associated Press
July 31, 2007 -- Arab League governments were reluctant Monday to support US President Bush's call for an international conference to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with top diplomats stressing the importance of making the Arab peace initiative key to any talks.
Meeting in Cairo to build a response to the US proposal, the Arab League welcomed what it called "the positive elements" in the proposed peace conference. But it said the talks should be "all inclusive" - a reference to other Arab-Israeli conflicts, mainly with Syria.
On July 16, George W. Bush proposed an international gathering later this year to restart long-stalled Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
Comments: Nothing seems to satisfy the Arabs it would appear. The whiners in the Middle East are miffed that President Bush is only focusing on the Palestinian conflict. Syria and Lebanon are also on the map the last time they checked. In Mr. Bush’s mind, he likes to solve one problem at a time. He believes that a peace conference even one that’s international in scope would end up as a “free for all” if multiple rails of the Middle East track are dealt with. Let’s establish statehood for the “long suffering” Palestinians first and then, let’s turn our attention to Syria. But, Syria is a major player also and with it being ignored by the U.S., that does not bode well for a diffusion of the imminent war between Syria and Israel.
Daniel 9:27 does not tell us whether the confirmation of the covenant refers to solely the Palestinian issue or the entire Middle East situation. Many believe that it will be a peace agreement between Israel and the Fatah Party only and that Syria will be destroyed soon so an Israeli-Syrian peace pact would be a moot point. We shall see as the Fall of 2007 draws near. If Syria is still standing then, that might be an indicator that Syria may also be included in Mr. Bush’s sponsored peace conference.
