Teheran denies arms deal with Syria
Source: Jerusalem Post

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman on Sunday dismissed as a "media game" recent reports of a secret arms deal with Syria allegedly made in return for an agreement that Damascus would not hold peace talks with Israel.

Mohammad Ali Hosseini refused to provide confirmation of the deal and questioned how the media would know about it if it were confidential.

"This is a media game," said Hosseini during his weekly news briefing. "It is not confirmed."

"These reports are aimed at destroying the strong relations between Syria and Iran," Hosseini added.

The Arabic newspaper Asharq Alawsat reported Saturday that Iran would provide $1 billion to Syria for advanced weapons procurement and would assist the country with nuclear research and the development of chemical weapons, with the understanding that Damascus would not negotiate peace with Israel.

The deal was allegedly signed Thursday when Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited Syria, said the newspaper.

Comments:  If the Iranian offer is true, it, along with reports of Saudi Arabia pulling out of the peace process, exacerbates the threat of war with Syria before the start of the peace talks in September. Of course, both stories could be part of an attempt to blackmail Israel into making more concessions at the bargaining table. If so, they needn’t bother. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert appears to be more than willing to give up land for “peace.”

If it comes down to war, it will not be the war of Ezekiel 38, where God Himself intervenes. Why do I say that? Ezekiel 38:8 states that at the beginning of the Gog-Magog war, Israel will be living safely in the land.

A Syria-Iraq war would pose a grave danger of U.S. forces already in the Middle East being pulled into the conflict. This is something the Bush administration would do almost anything to avoid, including pressuring Israel to give up more of her God-given territory. The U.S. is one of the most elusive players in Bible prophecy. Perhaps this is due to a future (read “soon-coming”) role in the covenant with many that ushers in the Tribulation. Such a move would almost certainly cause the removal of the hedge of protection we have enjoyed for most of our history and lay us bare to a series of terror attacks that would make 9-11 seem as a love tap.

Let us pray that our leaders will have the strength to stand firm with Israel in the dark days ahead. God’s promise to Abraham still stands: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Gen 12:3 KJV)

Hezbollah chief: Our reach spans every point in Israel

Source: Haaretz.com

By Yoav Stern and Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondents

Hezbollah claimed Sunday that it is able to strike at every part of Israel, and had the same capability during the Second Lebanon War last summer.

The leader of the Iranian and Syrian-backed organization, Hassan Nasrallah, made the comments to Qatari-based Al-Jazeera satellite television, in an interview to be aired in its entirety Monday.

"Even in the months of July and August 2006 there was not one place in occupied Palestine that we could not reach, every point and every corner," Nasrallah said. "I stress that we can do this today as well."

Comments: If Hezbollah starts lobbing rockets at Israeli towns, it can only lead to a grave escalation by Israel, possibly using her reputed stock of enhanced-radiation weapons. This could draw the world in for a battle royal. We have no guarantee that there will be only two world wars before the Rapture. Indeed, as I noted above, a widespread conflict could serve to fuel the covenant with many of Daniel 9. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Dan 9:27 KJVR)

Olmert Reiterates Stance to Give Away Judea and Samaria

Source: Israel National News.com

(IsraelNN.com) Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reiterated his belief that Israel "needs to withdraw" from the biblical Jewish provinces of Judea and Samaria.

Speaking at a gathering of farmers in the Jezreel Valley, Olmert maintained that Israel would have to make "tough decisions" with regard to territorial compromise.

According to the Prime Minister, anyone who thinks Israel can continue to hold onto the provinces captured in the defensive Six Day War of 1967 is "living in a dream."

"Everyone understands that the State of Israel can't exist without a guarantee of a Jewish majority," Olmert added.

Although many in Israel believe the question of Jewish majority to be a fundamental problem, recent research suggests otherwise.  A major demographic study published in 2005 by Bennett Zimmerman, Roberta Seid and Michael L. Wise revealed that the status of a Jewish majority between the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea is much more stable than previously reported, with Jews representing at least 60 percent of the total population.

Comments: Judea and Samaria (Judah and Israel of the Old Testament) are the historic Jewish heartland. This is tantamount to the U.S. giving away the original thirteen states. On second thought, it’s worse. We have no God-given mandate such as Israel’s to possess the land. Olmert is playing with fire here.

The Muslims will not be satisfied until Israel no longer exists at all. However, we have the assurance of Scripture that Israel will survive in some form until the Lord returns.

Olmert is itching for a peace deal, although we will likely see at least a limited war first. The end result will be the covenant of Daniel 9. It seems that the final week of years spoken of by Daniel is all but upon us. As Christians, we have the assurance that Jesus will take us out of here before the Tribulation of that week.

Are you ready? For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. (1Th 5:2-6 KJV)

Ehud Olmert calls again for giving up Judaea and Samaria

Source: www.israelnationalnews.com

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reiterated his belief that Israel "needs to withdraw" from the biblical Jewish provinces of Judea and Samaria.

Comments:   If Mr. Olmert thinks people are living in a dream presently, he’ll turn Israel’s giveaways into a nightmare of Freddy Kreuger proportion.  I’ve said it here before that aside from God’s never to be revoked promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that their descendants will receive the title to the land for an eternal blessing, there’s really nothing good about Israel, her leaders and Jewry worldwide.  Absolutely nothing.  They’re most spiritually blind and will have to endure horrible chastening at the hands of God during the 7‑year Tribulation Period, particularly; the last 3.5 years called the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (see Jeremiah 30:7).  Olmert’s foolhardy land handover to Israel’s enemies, the Arab, in exchange for a false peace and security is inexcusable.  For that PM Olmert will be held personally accountable to his people and to the God of Isaac.

President Bush adviser: No options off the table' when it comes to military force in Pakistan

Source: www.ynetnews.com

The US would consider using military force if necessary to stem al-Qaeda's growing ability to use its hideout in Pakistan to launch terrorist attacks, a White House aide said Sunday.

The president's homeland security adviser, Frances Fragos Townsend, said the US was committed first and foremost to working with Pakistan's president, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, in his efforts to control militants in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region. But she indicated the US was ready to take additional measures.

Comments:  What must President Bush be smoking if he’s even considering going into Pakistan militarily?  It’s no wonder much of the world has labelled the Americans imperialists.  First off, the US military is stretched to the limit in South Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq and an incursion into the mountainous regions of North Pakistan is a harbinger to Viet Nam 4 (2 and 3 being Afghanistan and Iraq respectively).  Yes, Osama bin Laden and his terrorists must be brought to justice, but invading Pakistan will only inflame the Islamic world even further.  Iran (the leader of Islam) is already itching for a showdown with the US and Israel and this would be considered another slap to the face of the Iranians.  Secondly, America’s friendly tie with Musharraf is viewed as being too cozy and that’s why Musharraf had been targeted many times for assassination.  If he thinks he’s a marked man now, wait until US troops are mobilized within Pakistan.  No, President Bush ought to simply take it easy until he leaves office on January 20, 2009.  No more US invasions!  Americans are fed up with slain soldiers being returned home in flag draped coffins.

Goodbye America, Hello North American Union

Source: www.newmediajournal.us

In a month, August 20 and 21, the leaders of the United States, Canada, and Mexico will sit down together in Montebello, Quebec to discuss making the borders between these three nations disappear. They will discuss progress on a vast highway project passing through America to link Mexico with Canada.

So far, no one has asked the citizens of these three nations whether they want to do this. It is not up for a vote in Congress and, indeed, Congress has no supervision over the gnomes in the U.S. Department of Commerce who are busily “harmonizing” the laws under the auspices of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

This, we’re told, is not a treaty so Congress has no constitutional oversight obligation. I guess it’s more like a nice big handshake between the presidents and prime minister of these three nations who, let’s face it, just know better than the rest of us. I mean, do Canadians really think they’re in charge of Canada? Americans should have a say about programs affecting America? Or has anyone asked Mexicans if they want to be part of some “harmonized” configuration not unlike the European Union?

Comments:  Never trust lawyers and politicians.  They’ll sorely disappoint you. Thanks to NAFTA, the New World Order movers and shakers are taking the next logical step, i.e. merge Canada, the U.S. and Mexico into the North American Union.  The purposes are as clear as pristine glacial water: (1) Destroy nationalism, the major obstacle to globalism (2) Get rid wage disparities which will line the coffers of the elitist men working behind the scene and calling all the shots.  The tragic part is that the citizens of theses three countries have no say in the matter.  It’s essentially a “fait accompli”, i.e. a done deal.  If the citizens think that after the super-NAFTA highway has been constructed right down the heartland of Canada and the USA and the common currency, the Amero have had their fair play, get ready for the next bold move, the One World Currency, the Mondo and the Antichrist’s One World Government.

Saudi Arabia backs out of Arab peace initiative: Saudi king gets cold feet over suspicions of Iran and fears of terror attacks sponsored by al-Qaeda, Israeli official says

Source: www.ynetnews.com

Saudi Arabia has dropped its support for a land-for-peace deal between Israel and the Arab world over fears of al-Qaeda attacks, an Israeli official said Saturday.

"We estimate the Saudis got cold feet over suspicions of Iran and fears of terror attacks sponsored by Iran and al-Qaeda," the official said.

"According to our information, the royal palace was frightened, withdrew from the peace initiative and threw the political ball in the court of Jordanian King Abdullah," the official stated.

The official added that Egypt's Intelligence chief Omar Suleiman raised the issue of Saudi Arabia with US President George W. Bush during a visit to Washington last week.

When Bush announced plans to hold the conference in his speech about the Middle East last week, Saudi Arabia failed to announce whether it would attend the regional meeting. Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and President Mahmoud Abbas said they would be sending delegates to the conference.

Comments:  Yes, the toe temperature of a corpse is ice cold.  The Saudi king is a lover, not a fighter.  Threats by Iran and al-Qaeda have drained the blood from the king’s face.  He doesn’t want his plush groomed idyllic kingdom to be littered with the bloody parts of himself and/or his citizens.  Even though he’s a billionaire multiple times over and could afford the best mercenary security guards and avail himself of the U.S. Secret Service’s hi-tech gadgets, he’s not 100% sure that bombers and assassin can’t still get through the Spandex tight security network.  Cold feet and a body replaced with embalming fluid do not translate into a rosy future for the Saudi king.  He wants out of the Saudi Peace Plan.  Let Jordan King Abdullah grab the spotlight and the accolades that go with forging Middle East peace.  Life to the Saudi king is more precious than a Nobel Peace Prize and the $800,000 US (mere pocket change to the king) that go with the award.

We’ll see if King Abdullah will finally come to the forefront and take the lead role as King of the Hashemite Kingdom and a possible Antichrist candidate.

Microchip implants raise privacy concern

Source: WorldDailyNet.com

CityWatcher.com, a provider of surveillance equipment, attracted little notice itself - until a year ago, when two of its employees had glass-encapsulated microchips with miniature antennas embedded in their forearms.

The "chipping" of two workers with RFIDs - radio frequency identification tags as long as two grains of rice, as thick as a toothpick - was merely a way of restricting access to vaults that held sensitive data and images for police departments, a layer of security beyond key cards and clearance codes, the company said.

"To protect high-end secure data, you use more sophisticated techniques," Sean Darks, chief executive of the Cincinnati-based company, said. He compared chip implants to retina scans or fingerprinting. "There's a reader outside the door; you walk up to the reader, put your arm under it, and it opens the door."

Innocuous? Maybe.

But the news that Americans had, for the first time, been injected with electronic identifiers to perform their jobs fired up a debate over the proliferation of ever-more-precise tracking technologies and their ability to erode privacy in the digital age.

To some, the microchip was a wondrous invention - a high-tech helper that could increase security at nuclear plants and military bases, help authorities identify wandering Alzheimer's patients, allow consumers to buy their groceries, literally, with the wave of a chipped hand.

To others, the notion of tagging people was Orwellian, a departure from centuries of history and tradition in which people had the right to go and do as they pleased, without being tracked, unless they were harming someone else.

Chipping, these critics said, might start with Alzheimer's patients or Army Rangers, but would eventually be suggested for convicts, then parolees, then sex offenders, then illegal aliens - until one day, a majority of Americans, falling into one category or another, would find themselves electronically tagged.

Comments:  Asking “Do microchip implants raise privacy concern?” is like asking “Is the pope Roman Catholic?”  It’s a rhetorical question.  Yes, every American (and Canadian) citizen ought to be greatly alarmed by this intrusion into their daily lives (including work).  It seems that the bosses of this world want to pry into our after‑working‑hour lives as well make our working world a “living hell”.  Big Brother is indeed watching us.  This “peeping Tom” mentally is well ingrained in the corporate world and in governments.  George Orwell’s 1984 prediction has come true albeit a decade or two late, but it’s here nevertheless.  Implanted chips stay inside your body unless you amputate that part and then your boss would fire you for tampering with company property.  Seriously, corporate security personnel out there lie awake at night thinking of innovative ways to monitor and control our daily activities.  One of these days soon, we will all have implanted chips placed inside our body and there will be nothing we can do about it.  Refuse it and we will lose our head literally.

This February 2006 news article showed how far along we were and now 17 months later, we can only imagine what leaps and bounds hi-technology has produced since.  Be afraid, be very afraid, but thank God, He is able to comfort us.

Tony Blair: Imagine that the peace process is advancing

Source: www.israelnationalnews.com

Tony Blair stepped into his new position as Quartet Middle East envoy Thursday with hopes and dreams and told worldwide diplomats in Lisbon, "Just imagine for a moment if this process were moving forward again, just think how much hope there would be."

Comments:  Remember John Lennon’s song “Imagine” which continued with “Imagine there’s no heaven.”  Well, there is a heaven and all the imagining won’t dispel the reality of heaven.  Also, philosophers and Native Americans have stated that “perception is the same as reality; sometimes we can’t tell the difference”.

Tony Blair’s advice for us to just imagine that Middle East is just about to be ushered in and half the battle is won.  Let the doom and gloom naysayers bury their heads in the sands of doubt. The mind is our biggest enemy holding us back from taking risks.  If we believe we can do it, then we will, but if we’re full of pessimism, it’s no wonder progress is curtailed and defeatism results.  Mr. Blair seems to have immersed himself with New Ageism.  Many today are into contemplative prayers and Yoga meditation by opening their minds to a higher state of conscientiousness truly believing they can perform marvellous things.   Mr. Blair is a disciple of Norman Vincent Peale’s “The Power of Positive Feelings”.  He really thinks he’s going to accomplish the impossible, i.e. Middle East.  He might get in contact with Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr and the trio would give a stirring rendition of “Give Peace a Chance”.  Nothing would surprise me coming from Tony “I read all of Anthony Robbins’ books” Blair.
