Barack Obama sorry for interrupting Yankees-Red Sox game

June 4, 2007 -- Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, knows he had stiff competition for attention in New Hampshire Sunday night. He told supporters as he showed up at a viewing party following the debate, “I don’t want to interrupt the Yankee-Red Sox game.”

 

The crowd chanted “we are part of something great” as a smiling Obama arrived at Murphy’s Tap Room.

 

He didn’t directly mention his performance in the debate but said, “I hope you are as energized as I am.”

 

Comments:  Barack Obama has something for everyone, he’s a man for all seasons.  By that I mean he’s like a chameleon that changes its appearance to adapt to the environment.  He knew how passionate New Englanders are about the Red Sox. His apologetic humility brought him admiration no doubt.  I watched his performance in the so called ‘debate’ and he held the rapt attention of the viewers whenever he spoke.  They were fixated on him including the frontrunner, the nervous Hillary Clinton who has the most to lose.  Obama is tall, dark, handsome and very charismatic.  He’s the son of a black Muslim and a white mother.  He professes to be a ‘Christian’ having been invited to speak at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Community Church where he pleaded for the furtherance of the social gospel.  He is also passionate about his Muslim faith.  He speaks from both sides of his mouth.

 

It’s easy to see that he would be an ideal candidate for the next U.S. president.  He would appeal to a lot of voters, i.e. blacks, whites, Muslims, liberal Christians, etc.  If the post-Rapture world is a Roman Catholic-Islamic alliance, he would fit right in with the Antichrist’s One World Religion and Government in that Obama would aptly qualify as one of his top governors overseeing the North American Region.

Report: Hamas may agree to new one-year cease-fire with Israel

June 4, 2007 -- Hamas deputy political leader Moussa Abu Marzouk told the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram that his organization may be willing to agree to a new one-year cease-fire with Israel.

 

Abu Marzouk said Palestinians need mutual and comprehensive calm in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

 

Hamas political leader Khaled Meshal said his organization would be willing to stop firing rockets at Israel if Israel stops its targeted killings of Hamas militants.

 

Comments:  Hamas is nothing more than a re-incarnated (no, I don’t believe in reincarnation) Yasser Arafat.  Its aim is to push, by force, all Israeli Jews out of the Holy Land.  Like Arafat, Hamas controls the Palestinian government to a large degree.  The Palestinian people have acclimatized themselves to be governed by terrorists since that’s all they’ve been taught as young children.  Israel is like a pit bull that’s being held back by the U.S.  “Don’t do anything drastic” is the message being conveyed to Israel by U.S. Secretary of State Ms. Condi Rice.  Also, “tone down your policy of assassinations”, pleads Ms. Rice.  Israel must do what she has to do.  A proposed Hamas cease-fire is not enough.  Hamas must disarm and recognize Israel’s right to exist alongside her Arab neighbours.  When will this repeated refrain get through Hamas’ thick skull?  There will be no peace deal as long as Hamas doesn’t get decertified. Meanwhile, deaths on both sides mount as the world searches for THE solution to the morass known as the Middle East conflict.

Swiss suicide clinics 'helping depressives die'

June 4, 2007 -- Prosecutors are calling for tougher regulations on Switzerland's assisted suicide clinics after uncovering evidence that some of the foreign clients they help to die are simply depressed rather than suffering incurable pain.

 

The clinics, which attract hundreds of foreigners, including Britons, every year, have been accused of failing to carry out proper investigations into whether patients meet the requirements of Switzerland's right-to-die laws.

 

Comments:   Depression is a last days illness that’s increasing worldwide.  Depression is really anger that’s being turned inward whereas rage is anger directed at someone else.  Sufferers feel helpless and hopeless.  Depression is a non-assertive way of dealing with life’s many perplexing issues, paramount among them being ‘sin’.  In today’s rat race, every man for himself, law of the jungle, Big Brother controls this and that sort of a world, millions of people worldwide are unable to cope.  Suicide is a symptom of major depression.  Suicide offers a final solution to end it all.

 

Modern day psychology with its anti‑depressive and mood altering medications and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) offer sufferers a less than perfect antidote.  Many times, they don’t work.  The patients aren’t helped and healing escapes them.  They either put in a call for Dr. Death aka Jack Kevorkian or fly to Switzerland to play the end game.  Not been given the Gospel of God which offers true hope and liberation from our sins through Jesus Christ, those contemplating doing themselves have no other option.  It’s tragic that Satan can lead uniformed souls to their eternal death by the pop psychology scam.

Russia threatens Europe over US missile plans

June 4, 2007 -- Russia's president Vladimir Putin has revived the atmosphere of the Cold war era - when Washington and Moscow both aimed missiles at each other – by threatening to target Russian weapons towards European territory, if the US builds its missile shield in Eastern Europe.

 

"It is obvious that if part of the strategic nuclear potential of the United States is located in Europe we will have to respond," Kremlin's chief Vladimir Putin told selected reporters from G8 countries on Sunday (3 June). "What kind of steps are we are going to take in response? Of course we are going to acquire new targets in Europe."

 

Moscow's iciest rhetoric yet comes as US president George Bush arrives in Europe for a visit that includes the three-day G8 summit in Germany, but also meetings in the Czech republic (4 June) and Poland (8 June) - the two countries potentially hosting the US shield.

 

Moscow does not accept Washington's argument that the system - consisting of 10 interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar base in the Czech republic - is meant to defend the US and Europe from Iran. Russia has also rejected an offer to inspect the sites and cooperate in the project.

 

Instead, Mr Putin has accused Washington of trying to upset the global strategic military balance, saying Washington is creating a new arms race.

 

"We are being told the anti-missile defence system is targeted against something that does not exist. Doesn't it seem funny to you?" Mr Putin said. "We lift from ourselves any responsibility for the steps we take in response, because we are not the ones who are initiating the arms race in Europe."

 

The US plan to place its defence system in Russia's backyard have put relations between the two superpowers under the biggest test since the Cold War, with the latest comments just the tip of the iceberg.

 

Comments:  The only people to benefit from another Cold War are thermal wear manufacturers.  Comrade Putin is madder than a hornet’s nest that’s been rudely disturbed.  It’s galling to Mother Russia that former Soviet republics Poland and the Czech Republic have agreed to an ‘in your face” Made in the USA missile system.  The proud Russians aren’t about to take this lying down.  Targeting Europe for the American incursion into Russia’s perceived zone of influence will have the EU tall foreheads in Brussels take notice.  There will be pressure applied to the Americans to change their mind.  Russian oil and gas supplies will be withheld in addition to a grim prospect of a nuclear winter.

 

Of course, the U.S.’s reason for stationing missiles so close to Russia is due to the Iranian nuclear threat.  It’s the same reason for the American military being in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The latter two are staging points for pre-emptive strikes against a nuclear Iran which, thanks to Russia’s assistance, now poses a viable threat to the Western world and Israel.

Will science make fatherhood obsolete?

June 4, 2007 -- Is the notion of fatherhood becoming obsolete? Researchers at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in Great Britain say they are on the verge of creating sperm cells from bone marrow. This would allow women to conceive children completely without men.

 

In essence, this technological development would render men obsolete and completely unnecessary in the process of breeding babies. This is the ultimate feminist and lesbian dream -- men completely out of the picture.

 

Comments:  Who needs human males?  Homosexuals?  Men with men and women with women are in vogue these days.  Wake up and smell the daisies.  If you live in a big city, look all around you and don’t be too shocked to see men holding hands with men and women giving other females a French kiss.  Gays and lesbians have not only come out of the closet in droves, but they’re now parading their wares.  It’s only natural then that the next step for a woman‑woman union to have children of their own is to embrace any option that precludes a man having any part of it.  Enter human genetic engineering. This is a feminist dream about to come true.  Helen Reddy’s “I am woman!” song is being sung in unison.

 

I’ve listened to radio pastors speaking about the last of the last days.  Several of them pointed to the conditions that preceded the flood in Noah’s day and the fire and brimstone that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah in the days of Lot.  Noah lived when fallen angels procreated with human females producing giants and Lot’s days were defined by rampant homosexuality.  The last days prior to God’s wrath being unleashed against this sin stricken world will also be characterized by gays and for added sin, lesbians doing things that are unnatural and contrary to what the Bible considers moral.  Matthew 24:[37] But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  Genesis 6:[4] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. [5] And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  Luke 17:[28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot… Genesis 13:[13] But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. Luke 17:[29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
