Saudi Arabia puts Jerusalem on new currency notes

Source: www.alertnet.org

May 22, 2007 -- Saudi Arabia will issue new banknotes this week which for the first time carry the image of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem, in a move officials said reflects the kingdom's concern for the Palestinian issue.

The new notes -- the fifth currency to appear since the kingdom was founded in 1932 -- show familiar images such as that of founder King Abdul-Aziz Al Saud and Islamic holy sites in Mecca and Medina.

But the 50 riyal ($13.3) note, which come into circulation on Monday, will show on one side the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem's old city and the Dome of the Rock, an iconic early Islamic mosque, on the other side.

Comments:  Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.  In these last days, Jerusalem has become the focus of all nations.  The city of David is a contentious city disputed over by Arabs, Jews and Roman Catholics alike.  Each wants a part or all of it.  Israel has vowed never to divide the city.  The pontiff desires that it be designated an international city to be shared by the three major faiths (Christianity, Judaism and Islam).  The Palestinians insist on East Jerusalem being the capital of their future State of Palestine.

The carving up of Jerusalem would appear to be the most likely scenario in order to appease the Vatican and Islam.  But, what about Israel?  Israel has studied the Saudi Peace Plan in detail and she has found it to be plausible provided certain modifications are made to it.  The Arab World’s position has been “take it or leave it”.  What ends up eventually will be a lot of give and take and then everyone shakes hands and toasts the historic occasion.  The Saudis in their new currency note may have jumped the gun with their presumptuousness. To them, the division of Jerusalem is a done deal.  The note depicts the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem's old city and the Dome of the Rock, but where is the new Jewish Third Temple?  The latter will be part of the negotiations. The start of the Tribulation Period may just be around the bend.

Florida to electronically track Alzheimer’s patients

Source: www.medindia.net

May 22, 2007 -- Alzheimer's Community Care in West Palm Beach in Florida said it would implant a radio frequency identification chip into Alzheimer's patients, but only with the consent of their families or the patients themselves if they are deemed competent.

The chip, which is slightly larger than a grain of rice, is implanted under the skin of the right forearm. Each chip will contain a unique 16-digit number that, when scanned in an emergency room, will link to the patient's medical records.

Mary Barnes, the president and CEO of Alzheimer's Community Care, said the RFID chips, manufactured by VeriChip Corp., provided the best means of giving medical personnel access to a patient's medical history, since people with Alzheimer's often cannot relay that information themselves.

Comments:  Dear readers, chip implants may be the forerunner of the Mark of Beast.  Are we ever close to the Tribulation Period!  (The Rapture event precedes it.)  Alzheimer's patients are not in their right mind, thus they need to be monitored.  Most guardians will agree to the chip implant because it’ll offer them  peace of mind.  If the patients wandered off, they can be located and returned to the nursing home/private residence.  So marvellously easy.  The next step will be the chipping of people on parole, folks on bail, juvenile delinquents out on recreation leave, dads who fall behind on their child support payments, and eventually every humanoid on this planet.  Already, most products have a UPC on them and some domesticate and farm animals have implanted microchips.  The intent of the One World Government planners is to get citizens comfortable with the idea just like a frog in a pot of cold water being gradually brought to a boil, it’ll adjust to the rising temperature without getting alarmed.

Once the Antichrist takes control of planet Earth, not all citizens will receive the Mark of the Beast.  Real Christians will refuse and will be beheaded.  The handicapped and the informed will be exterminated because their ongoing care will be huge drain on the universal health care system.  Alzheimer's patients may be well taken care of presently, but in a post-Rapture world, they will not be wanted.  Only able body healthy human beings will get to live one day at a time.

Educators criticize Creation Museum

Source: Associated Press/ christianpost.com

May 22, 2007 -- A museum where Adam and Eve share exhibit space with dinosaurs is drawing criticism from groups of science educators as it nears completion.

The $27 million Creation Museum, a few miles south of Cincinnati, tells a biblical version of the Earth's history, asserting that the planet is just a few thousand years old and man and the giant lizards once coexisted.

The educators say its exhibits, inspired by the Old Testament, are geared toward children but lack scientific evidence.

"When they try to confuse (kids) about what is science and what isn't science, scientists have an obligation to speak out," said Lawrence Krauss, an author and physics professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. "There's no doubt these are documented lies."

Comments:  2 Timothy 3:[7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  Academia has produced countless holders of masters and PH.D degrees.  The post-graduates are saturated with much learning (mostly liberal humanistic Darwin-style brainwashing).  Is it any wonder why most university graduates reject God as the supreme authority in all matters?  Many are atheists and at the end of 4 years of humanistic bombardment, their stance is even more hardened.  Rejecting God’s creationism for the Big Bang nonsense, they frown upon any public display of what God really is and what He has done.  The Creation Museum irks them to no end.  They’re infuriated that Cincinnati’s city council approved the project and permitted it to rise among the surrounding edifices of modern science and man-centered culture.  We don’t need science to prove that Earth is 6,000 years old plus spare change.  God’s Word recorded history’s events and what will transpire in the future.  The Holy Spirit led godly men to pen the scriptures that comprise the Holy Bible.  God said it thus it’s true and we need not waste resources to prove God.

Rev. Al Sharpton dines with Mormon elder

Source: Associated Press

May 22, 2007 -- The Rev. Al Sharpton toured Mormon facilities Monday and dined privately with a church elder after drawing criticism two weeks ago for remarks about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

"He's simply here to learn more about us," church spokesman Mike Otterson said. "We want him to know what the church does, what its work is."

Sharpton was debating with an atheist author when he said: "As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation."

Sharpton, a Pentecostal minister who urged the firing of Don Imus after the radio host's racially insensitive remarks, said his words were taken out of context. But he immediately called elders of the 12.5 million-member church to apologize.

Monday, on a live broadcast of his radio show from a church-owned broadcast center in Salt Lake City, Sharpton said he respects Mormons as Christians and believers. He called any perceived friction between himself and the church a "fabricated controversy."

"Whatever differences I have with their denomination or religion had nothing to do with my respect of their faith," Sharpton said.

He has not apologized to Romney but called for a "dialogue of reconciliation." Romney has said Sharpton's comment could be construed as bigoted.

On the air, Sharpton said he and Elder M. Russell Ballard, of the church's governing board of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, met over dinner Sunday night and "talked very little, if at all" about the comments. Instead, Sharpton said, they discussed shared concerns and places where their faiths can work together.

The dinner was followed by a tour Monday morning of church facilities, including a humanitarian aid center from which the church distributes clothes, food and medical supplies around the world.

Comments:  The Rev. Sharpton is a liberal ‘Christian’ Democrat.  Liberal in the sense of extolling humanistic viewpoints (such as supporting pro-choice and gay rights) which oppose Biblical precepts.   Only God knows who among them are indeed saved for their liberal interpretation of the Scriptures is contrary to what the Holy Spirit would lead a true believer to hold.  Having said all this, we are therefore not amazed that Sharpton sincerely believes Mormons are Christians and fellow believers.  If he had read the book “Kingdom of the Cults”, he would have been educated as to Mormonism founder Joseph Smith’s lies which underlie the Mormon faith.  The vast majority of Mormons are lost and will end up in Hell.

2 Corinthians 6:[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  Indeed, what communion has a believer with an unbeliever?  There are no commonalities between true Christianity and the Devil’s cults.  Oh sure, Sharpton’s church can work alongside the Mormon Church in promoting social justice, eradicating poverty, assisting and comforting patients with HIV and the such.  The social gospel has no boundaries when it comes to cooperation between Christians and cult followers.  If the Rev. Sharpton had given the Gospel of God to Mormon Elder M. Russell Ballard, there would be a “well done” in the future when God hands out crowns, but to just dine with a cult leader and discuss issues that don’t pertain to life everlasting is a total waste of time.

Experts predict 'active' U.S. hurricane season

Source: CNN.com/Associated Press

May 22, 2007 -- Government forecasters called for a busier than normal hurricane season Tuesday.

National Weather Service forecasters said they expect 13 to 17 tropical storms, with seven to 10 of them becoming hurricanes.

The forecast follows that of two other leading storm experts in anticipating a busy season.

The likelihood of above normal hurricane activity is 75 percent, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.

Comments:  Get ready for another stress inducing hurricane season.  The so called experts have predicted a busier than normal year.  That’s good news for roofers, window suppliers and demolition companies, but will produce copious tears for insurers and residents who can’t afford the high insurance premiums.  People living in the hurricane areas can never really enjoy their properties.  Their temporal ‘dream’ home is just that, here today and perhaps gone with the wind tomorrow.  God does speak to people through severe storms.  After enduring the pounding of the wind, rain and waterways and surveying the devastation that follows, the survivors either thank their lucky stars they’re alive or realize that God had spoken to them in that life is fraught with cataclysmic events and one can be ushered into eternity at any moment in time.  The aim of God’s message is: Get right with your Maker by receiving Jesus as your Saviour.  For the Christians who hold to the pre‑Tribulation Rapture concept, the increasing frequency and severity of hurricanes is a fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy as recorded in Luke 21:[25] And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.
