Israel urged to end nuclear ambiguity
Source: Jerusalem Post
March 13, 2007 -- Israel should pursue a strategy of "open nuclear deterrence" towards Iran if international attempts to curtail Teheran's nuclear ambitions fail, a London think tank argues in a report to be released Monday.
Openly declaring its nuclear weapons stockpile and laying out the conditions of their use in the event of an Iranian attack is an option worth considering, a report published by the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House) stated, "if it is conceded that diplomatic efforts are doomed to fail, yet the price of war is too high."
Of all the options available to Israel to counter the Iranian nuclear threat, "the military option is the least desirable" as a strike against Iran "might push an already volatile Middle East into further hostilities, uniting anti-Western groups worldwide" against Israel and the US while "isolating moderate Muslim forces," the report states.
The IAF could cripple Iran's nuclear program, but Israel on its own had "insufficient military capability to destroy all Iran's nuclear program." A joint strike by the US and Israel "would delay the Iranian nuclear program for a few years, but would have grave consequences," the paper states.
Comments: “Did she or didn’t she?. Only her hairdresser knows for sure.” was the gist of a Clairol hair coloring commercial. Does Israel possess nukes or is Israel an astute poker player? The simple fact that Israel hasn’t yet been invaded by hordes and hordes of Muslim soldiers might attest to the notion the Muslims suspect Israel does have them and will not hesitate to deploy them. (Israel called this her “Samson Option” which is mutual destruction.)
This London think tank is working for the Muslims in that it calls for Israel to declare that she does have nukes and how many and where they’re stockpiled. Israel would be a fool to disclose any of this vital information. By keeping her enemies guessing, she holds the wild card.
The day will come when the Antichrist (AC) will demand that all nuclear countries (including Israel) turn over their nukes to him. Israel will protest vehemently, but she must comply. To assure her that she has no need to worry about a possible Muslim overrun of the nation, the AC will guarantee Israel’s security. Israel will agree and a (false) peace will finally dawn on the Middle East.

Al-Qaida accuses Hamas of selling out
Source: Associated Press
March 13, 2007 -- Al-Qaida's number two accused the Palestinian Hamas of selling out by agreeing to respect past peace deals with Israel, according to a recording broadcast Sunday by Al-Jazeera satellite channel.
Ayman al-Zawahri lashed out at the group for making its most concrete commitment to a two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict when it agreed in February during a meeting in Saudi Arabia to "respect" earlier peace deals with Israel.
"Hamas went on a picnic with the American devil and its Saudi agent," al-Zawahri said.
He mocked Saudi King Abdullah, who proposed the Arab peace plan in 2002 when he was crown prince, calling it the "initiative that was dictated to him" by New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman.
Comments: Everybody has a price including Hamas. The oil rich Saudi king pitched millions of dollars in the direction of Hamas and they scrambled to scoop up as much as their greedy hands can pick up. Money still talks and wields a powerful big stick these days. For all its worth, Al-Qaida is backed by Osama bin Laden’s millions, but that’s pittance compared to the Saudi oil sheiks’ coffers. That’s like comparing Red Lobster’s Restaurant with Wal-Mart, a boy versus a man.
There’s no love lost between the Saudi king and bin Laden. The former lives an opulent lifestyle that even Hugh Hefner would envy while bin Laden is a blue collar lunch bucket terrorist with principles. Other than that they are both Sunnis, there’s no commonality between them. The Saudis prefer the American’s protection of their repressive regime while bin Laden wants the U.S. crushed. Now that Hamas has softened its image somewhat, Al-Qaida believes it has been betrayed and Al-Qaida's pent up fury will be unleash in a short time. Hamas better be prepared to protect its backside.

March 13, 2007 -- A former Donald Street aerobics hot spot that's been out of business for years will heat up again this weekend when it transforms into a "hot yoga" moksha studio -- a first of its kind for the city.
Known as moksha yoga, it's a type of hot yoga performed in a room heated to about 40 degrees C.
Think working out in the tropics -- contorting yourself into pretzel-like positions while drenched in sweat.
Comments: Yoga is the craze these days. It comes from the Eastern religion of Hinduism. Ever since the Beatles opened the eyes of the Western world to India’s gurus, Transcendental Meditation™ and now Yoga have piqued the interest of many Europeans and North Americans, especially women. There’s a misconception that you can separate the physical exercise portion from the spiritual side and still call it Yoga. Hindus think this is an affront to their religion. Some Westerners have immersed themselves in the spiritual side and have discovered an inner self that they believe is liberating not cognizant of the fact that demonic spirits have taken over their mind and thought processes. The continual experimentation with demonic forces only takes such persons further and further away from God. Now, even Christians (predominately promoted by professing female believers) are numbered among those who have embraced Yoga with a passion. Christian Yoga is advertised on many a church lawn sign. The mixing of Christianity and paganism equates to spiritual fornication.
When the unsaved and the believers run after things with pagan roots, God gives them up. The Christ rejecters get what they seek after: spiritual enlightenment that leads them to Satan’s lair while the believers are deceived and blown about by every wind of doctrine. Ephesians 4:[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Women, especially, are susceptible to the guile of the Devil (the serpent). 1 Timothy 2:[14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman (Eve) being deceived was in the transgression.

Meat Loaf turns clock back to 1977
Source: Winnipeg Free Press
March 13, 2007 -- Meat Loaf and cheese have probably never have gone so well together.
The vocalist named after the comfort food staple brought his Bat Out of Hell greatest hits tour to the MTS Centre last night for a show that was just as over-the-top as the three Bat albums.
The tone for the evening was set during the opening number, Paradise by the Dashboard Light, as the burly singer shared the stage with female backup vocalist Aspen Miller, who was decked out in a skimpy cheerleader outfit and knee-high white boots. The pair acted out the song with Meat Loaf stalking the pretty young woman, proclaiming his luck at being in her presence and making out mid-song before she told him to "Stop right there!" and wouldn't go any further.
The social-staple concluded with a fight and the use of a famous expletive for "Get out" drawing a roar of approval, and much laughter, from the diverse crowd of 6,000 made up of people who bought the first Bat Out of Hell album in 1977 and a younger group who were quite possibly conceived to the music.
"You cannot fool me, I know I'm not in Winnipeg because the people in Winnipeg can really really sing, and what I heard that about 25 seconds ago sucked. I swear to God if I don't hear some singing this time from the people of Winnipeg I will come out there and kick your ass," Meat Loaf ordered before the crowd responded with renewed enthusiasm.
He visited the 1993 sequel, Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, for Out of the Frying Pan (And Into the Fire) and a dramatic rendition of I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) built on a foundation of tender piano and building to a bombastic climax with the help of Miller.
The orchestral cinematic epics written by Jim Steinman were brought to life by a six-piece backing band and two scantily-clad female backup singers on tiered risers.
After six songs in an hour, the band took a 15-minute break and returned with the grandiose hard-rock anthem The Monster is Loose, the subtitle of Bat III. Musically, the latest album doesn't compare to the first two, but in a live setting songs like Bad For Good and If It Ain't Broke Break It made perfect sense.
Comments: I would say that immorality has gotten worse since 1977 (actually since the time rock and roll made its debut). The rebellious attitude and irreverence toward God and people in general abound. Nothing stinks more in God’s presence than the unsaved using “God” and “Jesus” in sentences laced with profanity. The crowd releases a roar every time this happens because their heroes mirror the every day language they use in the workplace and among their friends. Their irreverent habit is well ingrained in that they aren’t even conscious of what they’re spewing out of their foul mouths. Many are merely uttering whatever the demons inside them direct them. Matthew 15:[18] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
The prevalence of moral declension in society is a barometer indicating that the coming of Jesus is ever near at hand. 2 Timothy 3:[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. The spirit of Antichrist pervades this godless world and it will get worse and worse. Revelation 13:[6] And he (the Antichrist) opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Does ‘hooking up’ really hurt anyone?
Source: MSNBC.com
March 13, 2007 -- During a class discussion on adolescence, a high school teacher recently asked her students whether they go on dates. We don’t “date,” the 12th graders reported. We “hook up.”
If you’re in your 40s, “hooking up” might mean catching a friend downtown for lunch. But to people in their teens or 20s, the phrase often means a casual sexual encounter — anything from kissing onwards — with no strings attached.
Now a new book on this not-so-new subject is drawing fire in some quarters for its conclusion: That hookups can be damaging to young women, denying their emotional needs, putting them at risk of depression and even sexually transmitted disease, and making them ill-equipped for real relationships later on.
Comments: Romans 1:[31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. 2 Timothy 3:[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Matthew 24:[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. The Apostle Paul and the Lord Jesus Christ gave us signs to look for pertaining to the last days prior to Christ’s 2nd coming. One of them is people not having genuine feelings and love toward others. In a violent world such as the one we’re living in, young people are desensitized and are numb to their feelings and emotions. To further protect their heart, love (not many even know love is) is replaced by superficial relationships based purely on the physical.
Love means fidelity, commitment, emotional maturity and requires nurturing. Boys have hardened themselves by becoming macho and mechanical. The girls have become masculine like in order to project a façade of strength in order to be accepted by the boys. The hip hop music scene promoting open sex just adds fuel to the burning fires of lust that teenagers naturally feel. All these volatile ingredients produce a recipe for carnality and fornication. The “Do it, do it until you’re satisfied” mantra prevails over true love which seeks the other person’s heartfelt needs and desires. Self is paramount. Other people are robots to be used and discarded in the junk pile. The vicious cycle is played over and over again. Many youths get hurt and emotionally scarred for life. Even Christian youths find the lure too much to resist. May God help them to pull away from peer pressure and rise above the crowd. 1 Corinthians 6:[18] Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body.
