Iran And Sudan Leaders Express Support For Each Other During Visit In Sudan

01 March 2007 – Mounting criticism against Iran for its nuclear program and Sudan for its involvement in genocide in Darfur has drawn the two countries closer. Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told Sudan's Omar al-Bashir that there was a "new chapter" in the expansion of relations between the nations in oil, energy, industry and agriculture sectors.
Al-Bashir responded by stating that Iran had every right to pursue its nuclear program.
During a speech at a private institution Ahmadinejad issued a call to all Muslims to support Iran's nuclear program. He said that developed nations were trying to stop the program only because they didn't want to see developing nations achieve scientific advances, the Guardian Unlimited reported Thursday.
The visit came the day after an international court accused a Sudanese cabinet member of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.
Iran's ambassador in Khartoum, announced that trade volume between the nations
is expected to rise from $43 million to about $70 million.
Comments: One of the countries that accompany Gog/Russia in the Ezekiel war against Israel is thought to be Sudan. Sudan is situated between Libya and Ethiopia and both of these countries are mentioned as participants when they coming against Israel in that future battle. Ahmadinejad is shoring up ties with Sudan and we know that Iran’s/Persia’s ultimate goal is the destruction of Israel. It could be that the pieces are starting to fall into place and this war may not be far off. We know that Turkey is slowly moving away from the European Union and making closer ties with Russia. In every instance where these countries (mentioned) make closer relationships, oil and energy seem to be the leading factors. New alliances and stronger relationships are being formed with every country mentioned in the Gog Magog war. This should tell us that something is brewing.

The European Constitution returns

27 February 2007 – The corpse of the European Constitution is coming back to life and staggering around the EU's corridors of power.
Buried by voters in France and the Netherlands in 2005, it has been resurrected by the EU's German presidency and put on the table of a summit in June.
Germany aims to produce a "roadmap" pointing the way to ratification by 2009, and has the full support of another 17 of the EU's 27 member states, which have also completed or all but completed ratification.
Meanwhile, both leading candidates for the French presidency have been laying out their plans to turn France's No into a Yes, once they have been elected.
But where will all this activity lead?
Will any new treaty resemble the old one and will it be ratified by popular vote, or by national parliaments in what some critics are describing as a "backroom deal"?

Germany's plan is to keep the constitution largely intact.
Comments: Update; June is the month when the European constitution is put on the table and we will finally find out if this treaty is destined to be buried or brought back to life again. Already according to this article the corpse is coming back to life and staggering around EU corridors again. Keep in mind that many end times prophecy students believe that the EU is the fourth beast mentioned in Daniel 7 and the Antichrist will most likely come out of this fourth beast empire. The EU is also the 7th and last head on the beast that comes up out of the sea. I believe it is this head that the bible is talking about when it says… And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. You see, many people believe that this head is speaking directly about the Antichrist but the Antichrist is never referred to as a head, he is referred to as a horn or little horn. The EU constitution as we know has been left for dead and without it, it could break this EU Empire apart without a binding constitution. If the EU is this head that is wounded to death, a dead constitution would be such a death blow. But now this constitution is staggering to life again and maybe even brought back to life as soon as it is put back on the table in June. Keep an eye on this one.

U.S., Iran and Syria may talk face to face about Iraq

March 1, 2007 -- The United States and its adversaries in Iran and Syria may for the first time since the Iraq war began meet face to face at a conference next month to discuss the situation in Iraq.
On Tuesday, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the U.S. supports the forum, which will take place in the first half of March in Iraq.
It could set the stage for a ministerial-level meeting in April that will include the Group of Eight -- the U.S., Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Canada and Russia -- and Iraq's neighbors -- Syria, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Turkey.
Multilateral organizations and China -- the only permanent member of the U.N. Security Council which is not in the G-8 -- will also be invited, Rice said.
Comments: It’s an about face for the Bush Administration to entertain the possibility of talking face to face with the two main supporters of international terrorism, i.e. Iran and Syria. It just points out how desperate the President is about America’s role in Iraq, deemed as Vietnam 2. The U.S. wants very much to withdraw from Iraq, but as long as the Iraqi insurgents (backed by Iran and to a lesser degree by Syria) are free to terrorize the local population, an exodus of U.S. troops is not plausible.
Perhaps by granting the Iranians and Syrians what they want (for Iran, no further opposition to their nuclear program and lifting of sanctions; for Syria, the U.S. pressure on Israel to return the Golan Heights) would solicit their participation in reeling in the insurgents so a semblance of law and order will dawn on Iraq. Certainly, Ms. Rice prays so. For terrorism to be defeated, all players must do their part. Iran and Syria, if they want the sanctions to be lifted against their nations, must stop terrorism in its track. That’s like asking the fox not to raid the hen house. A fox will always have an appetite for fowl. That’s its natural inclination. That being said, Mr. Bush and Ms. Rice are whistling Dixie if they truly believe Iran and Syria will help the U.S. That’s like asking the Gotti family to assist the FBI.

PCUSA head optimistic of growth despite exodus

March 1, 2007 -- As the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States sees a small yet continuous exodus of congregations, the head of the church body remains optimistic of growth.
Last summer's 217th General Assembly, which had granted greater leeway for the ordination of homosexuals, resulted in the departure of some dissident Presbyterians and more are seeking a new home. The exodus, however, began in 2001 when the General Assembly would not affirm that Jesus Christ is the only way to God, according to the Rev. Dr. D. Dean Weaver, senior pastor of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh.
Weaver is part of the New Wineskins Association of Churches - a network of dissident Presbyterians - which voted this year for a new non-geographic presbytery to be created by the smaller Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Much of the congregations are expected to vote by October to either stay in the PC(USA) or to realign with the possible New Wineskins Presbytery.
Comments: There are certain people who place a positive spin on negative things. They see the cup as being half full rather than as half empty. The head of PCUSA is just one such person who has horse blunders on when pertaining to the trickle of congregants leaving his denomination due to its erroneous teachings. The PCUSA needs to purchase a pre-paid funeral package. God has given up on it.
It’s bad enough that the PCUSA is pro-homosexual which is a secondary issue, but it’s deplorable that it won’t affirm that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. The latter is a primary issue, the deciding criterion on whether a soul will spend an eternity in the presence of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in the New Jerusalem or will be punished in the everlasting Lake of Fire. Often times, a smoke screen (i.e. the homosexual agenda) put up by the Devil blinds the soul from the more important matter of one’s salvation or lost condition.
Yes, there are pockets of Presbyterian churches in North America that are straight as an arrow when teaching from God’s Word. They could throw off their “Presbyterian” affiliation and not be associated with the PCUSA. That way, people won’t mistakenly link them with the wayward PCUSA. Christians can make such decisions if they truly want to.

Top EU official assesses EU-Israeli relations

March 1, 2007 -- Thank you Professor Magidor for those kind words of welcome. I am truly delighted to be here. Not only because the work the Hebrew University is doing through its European Forum is immensely valuable for the future of EU‑Israel relations, but also because of the links you have with my home country. The Hebrew University’s Centre for Austrian Studies was established under my tenure as Foreign Minister so I am very familiar with its activities. And we are proud of the good collaboration between Austrian and Israeli academics and students.
The purpose of the Action Plan is to gradually integrate Israel into European policies and programmes. Every step we take is determined by both sides and the Action Plan is tailor-made to reflect Israel’s interests and priorities.
We offered Israel the opportunity to take part in the EU’s internal programmes and agencies, and received an enthusiastic response. We are currently working on opening those programmes, dealing with issues as varied as customs, taxation, culture, youth and film. Just last week we agreed Israel’s participation in the EU’s 7th Framework Programme for Research and Development, making Israel an integral part of the fast-expanding European Research Area. And we will soon start work on Israel’s participation in the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme, one of the EU’s flagship programmes.
Comments: Israel wants so much to be accepted by the international community and especially the EU (which is a wealthy trading partner). Israel of old yearned for that kinship which displeased God Who implored His people to be separate from the Gentiles. Israel’s leaders by and by turned a deaf ear to God’s pleadings preferring to run after pagan gods and adopted the heathen’s practices.
In 2007, Israel eyes the unlimited wealth that can be reaped through economic and scientific co-operation with the EU. The EU is certainly willing for it knows Israel has some of the world’s leading economists and scientists, not to mention Israel’s ingenuity and propensity to generate wealth. This partnership would be a union made on Earth, but originated from the bottomless pit. Satan has drummed up the plan to welcome Israel into the EU’s fold on the precondition that Israel makes peace with all her neighbors. This is part and parcel of the European Neighborhood Plan which has earmarked billions of euros to Israel and other Mediterranean countries and the Palestinian Authority to forge Mideast peace and subsequently be brought into that region’s projected trade and commerce. It’s a devious scheme aimed at integrating Israel into the EU and making Israel vulnerable to manipulation and eventual conquest. Israel’s spiritually blind leaders can’t see through this insidious plot.
