Syria ready with bio-terror if U.S. hits Iran
Source: WND
05 March 2007 – An American biodefense analyst living in Europe says if the U.S. invades Iran to halt its nuclear ambitions, Syria is ready to respond with weapons of mass destruction – specifically biological weapons.
"Syria is positioned to launch a biological attack on Israel or Europe should the U.S. attack Iran," Jill Bellamy-Dekker told WND. "The Syrians are embedding their biological weapons program into their commercial pharmaceuticals business and their veterinary vaccine-research facilities. The intelligence service oversees Syria's 'bio-farm' program and the Ministry of Defense is well interfaced into the effort."
Bellamy-Decker currently directs the Public Health Preparedness program for the European Homeland Security Association under the French High Committee for Civil Defense.
She anticipates a variation of smallpox is the biological agent Syria would utilize.
"The Syrians are
also working on orthopox viruses that are related to smallpox," Bellamy-Decker
said, "and it's a good way to get around international treaties against
offensive biological weapons development. They work on camelpox as a cover for
smallpox."
Comments: Update; It is no secret that if a war breaks out with Iran, Syria will get involved and they will most likely use biological weapons. Over the last couple of weeks there have been signs that Syria is beefing up their positions next to the Golan heights and all this is being done in case of a strike on Iran. As we saw last year and on the Northern border in Israel, Hezbollah provoked Israel into a war and now we are starting to see evidence that Syria may be attempting to provoke Israel too. Syrian Border Attacks May Be First Shot in New War. If a war breaks out between these two countries and Syria uses any type of Chemical or biological weapon, Israel will target Damascus with full force. Most of us know the scripture in Isa 17:1 that foretells the complete destruction of Damascus and we know that it may not be far off. The news is telling us that the stage is being set for this event and when it comes it will be quick. Hold on to your hats.
Isa 17:1 ¶ The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Tehran in U-turn to back Mid-East peace plan
Source: The Telegraph
05 March 2007 – SAUDI ARABIA has claimed a crucial diplomatic breakthrough, revealing that Iran has agreed to support an Arab peace plan to end the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.
By securing Tehran's apparent backing for the peace plan, which dates from 2002 and envisages a Palestinian state on land occupied in 1967, diplomatic pressure will mount on Israel.
But there was no official confirmation from Iran about the agreement, which would represent a significant watering-down of its traditionally hardline position calling for all Israeli land to be given to Palestinians.
The official Saudi news agency announced Iran's backing on Sunday after the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, met the Saudi leader, King Abdullah, in Riyadh.
It represented another apparent diplomatic coup for Saudi Arabia which has been working actively in recent months to reassert itself as the regional Sunni superpower capable of standing up to a resurgent Shiite Iran. Saudi officials have been working hard to end the political stand-off in Lebanon and last month they brokered an agreement between the Palestinian factions, Hamas and Fatah, to forge a unity government, although such a government is yet to be formed.
The
Arab League announced on Sunday the 2002 Arab peace plan would be officially
relaunched this month.
Comments: The only diplomatic coup that Saudi Arabia managed to get is Iran’s agreement for Israel to give up land that is rightfully theirs. Iran does not want peace with Israel; Ahmadinejad outwardly calls for the destruction of Israel. The bad thing about all this is that the push for peace is greater than it has ever been in the last few years. Some or all of the 22 Arab league members may be prepared to recognise Israel and this will put Israel in a very precariouse situation. Israeli Gov't Hopes for Revival of Arab Peace Plan, Israel Should Embrace the Revived Arab Plan, The 2002 Arab peace initiative is to be revived at a summit to be held in Riyadh at the end of March. It’s been agreed upon by all 22 Arab League members, thus representing an opportunity not to be missed.
This summit at the end of the month will be one to watch.
Ps 83:2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Amadinejad storms out of Riyadh meeting with the Saudi king
Source: Jerusalem Post
March 5, 2007 -- Saturday evening, Ahmadinejad landed in Riyadh to a king's welcome. Feasts were prepared for him. Abdullah meant to speak with him about everything, but first and foremost the nuclear issue. Because they don't share a common language (Ahmadinejad knows only Farsi, and Abdullah doesn't speak it) the conversation was conducted through an interpreter. Abdullah was obviously trying. He sat close to Ahmadinejad, something he doesn't often do with his guests, and tried to smile for the cameras before the meeting.
There are still no details on the conversation itself, but Abdullah apparently warned Ahmadinejad about the Americans who are increasing their presence in the Persian Gulf. I believe that Abdullah offered to mediate between the Iranians and the Americans, and he has the ability to do so comparatively well. After the first round of talks, they left for dinner, and later resumed talks.
Shortly before midnight, it was announced suddenly that Ahmadinejad was returning to Teheran. I believe that the talks blew up, since it's strange for him not to have stayed at least a night on such an important visit, one that had been prepared ahead of time.
The fact remains that Ahmadinejad and the Saudis did not voice any intention of continuing talks after the visit. Also, no official message on the meeting was published, as is the norm. Ahmadinejad has a hot temper, and he tends to get offended. Maybe he thought that the Saudis were interfering in something that was none of their business.
As he returned to Iran, Ahmadinejad was met at the Teheran airport by reporters. He told them that he had spoken with the Saudis on Iraq, the ethnic issue, Lebanon, and the Palestinians, and did not mention the nuclear program - an additional indication that this was the subject that had caused the crisis.
Comments: Genesis 16:[11] And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. [12] And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. Arab/Persian disunity. The Israelis are having a field day with this one. This, my reader friends, is one main reason the Muslims haven’t been able to wipe Israel off the map. In all the wars since Israel was reborn on May 14, 1948, the Muslims haven’t mustered a unified military force to storm the tiny nation of Israel and overrun it. Internal bickering has been the bane of the Muslims and will always be.
Iran’s president, deep down, scoffs at the Saudi king and thinks this American backed puppet is a hypocrite and traitorous Muslim (like the late Saddam Hussein) who doesn’t adhere to strict Islamic practices. Unlike Osama bin Laden (who’s also a Saudi) who uses his immense wealth to terrorize the Western world, the oil fattened Saudi king lives an opulent lifestyle like Playboy’s Hugh Hefner. This is not what true Islam is all about. Saudis are “moderate” Muslims of the Sunni clan whereas, Iranians (or Persians) are Shiites who shun Western values. There can be no union of the two opposing philosophies so this meeting was doomed to fail right from the very beginning. The Saudi king wasn’t about to support Iran’s attacks against the Americans and Israelis and Iran wasn’t going to stop supporting the Shiites in their fight against the Sunnis in Iraq. As long as the Muslim world won’t get their internal squabbles ironed out, Israel can rest a bit easier tonight.

March 5, 2007 -- A late-February meeting between representatives of American Christian denominations and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad amounted to "a shameful betrayal of American values and the Christian-Jewish relationship," the Anti-Defamation League said over the weekend.
"By meeting with Ahmadinejad, these American Christian leaders are collaborating with a dangerous despot who calls for the destruction of Israel and denies the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust," said ADL national director Abraham Foxman.
The meeting, held in Teheran on February 24, was part of a visit by 13 representatives of American Christian denominations, including Quakers, Mennonites, Episcopalians, Baptists, United Methodists and Roman Catholics, meant as a call for dialogue between the governments of Iran and the US.
"We traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran at this time of increased tension believing that it is possible to build bridges of understanding between our two countries," read a statement put out by the National Council of Churches USA, which organized the mission.
According to the NCC, Ahmadinejad made several statements during the meeting that were "most encouraging," including a declaration that Iran had no intention of acquiring or using nuclear weapons and an assertion that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict "can only be solved through political, not military means."
According to an account of the meeting by Dr. Shanta Premawardhana, director of interfaith relations for the NCC, Ahmadinejad reacted with annoyance when challenged over the Holocaust denial conference held in Teheran in December. He was upset at having to explain once again his reasons for holding it, and asked if it was the influence of the Zionists that caused the question to be asked.
"What is it with Zionists and America?" he asked, according to Premawardhana. "Anytime anyone says anything against the Zionists, it creates problems in the US. Are Zionists ruling America? I refuse to believe that Zionists have so much power that you have to ask this again."
Premawardhana said that while Ahmadinejad reiterated that "he does not deny the reality of the Holocaust," he said he "believes that its disastrous effects are exaggerated to provide legitimacy for the State of Israel."
Comments: Shame, shame, shame on the Baptists for getting involved in this betrayal of the U.S. and Israel. At a time when Iran is threatening to blow up the entire free world (you can bet once Israel and the U.S. have been nuked out of existence, the next target will be Europe), Christian denominations (excluding Catholics) should not be having a dialogue with the leader of radical Islam. Islam and true Christianity cannot be reconciled. However, in the name of uniting all faiths and religions under one umbrella, professing Christianity has tossed aside all restraints in order to accommodate others. These so called Christian denominations are proponents of the social gospel intended to make Earth a peaceful, loving, giving, caring and socially just planet. No longer preaching the Gospel of God to reach the unsaved and make disciples of them, they are focusing all their energies to create a paradise on Earth, a utopian society where religious differences can be bridged through tolerance and understanding our fellow man.
Romans 11:[1] I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
[2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Much of Christendom has adopted the erroneous Replacement Theology which says rebellious Israel has been replaced by the Church and Israel has no more favor with God. They blame Israel for erecting a barrier against Middle East peace. They assert Islam is a peaceful religion that’s being misunderstood. They look for the good in mankind. Poverty, diseases, planetary pollution and social injustices must be eradicated. There’s no future Tribulation Period. Jesus will live in the hearts of all men, women and children. Truly an idyllic dream. Oh, how the Devil has people fooled!

African churches mix Christianity with tribal beliefs
Source: Associated Press
March 5, 2007 -- On a rocky hilltop in Johannesburg, a priest leads his congregation in an all-night prayer vigil. His is not a religion for the fainthearted: At the core of his faith is the unshakable conviction that the Bible is a simple, straightforward road map to the hereafter.
"The Bible is the way it is. It doesn't change. It needs no explanation. You just have to follow it," said Molefa Mojela, the priest of the Edumisweni Apostolic Church of Christ.
Yet, the congregation also holds beliefs many consider outside the bounds of mainstream Christianity.
Members of Mojela's church venerate and fear ancestors who they believe can help or harm them. They are convinced witches and evil spirits walk among them. They look to prophets to heal the sick, and trust in the power of magic and the benefits of animal sacrifice.
The Edumisweni congregation is one of the thousands of African initiated churches, sometimes called Spirit Churches, which first appeared near the start of the last century in reaction to the hegemony of white mission churches.
The congregations share much with Pentecostal Christianity, emphasizing the Holy Spirit, healing through prayer and speaking in tongues. But they also freely adopt what they consider important in African culture -- veneration of ancestors, belief in witchcraft, faith in the power of magic, called muti, and the ability of prophets or sangomas to harness that power. "Africans want their own religion," Mojela said. "They want to pray and worship in their own language."
Once a predominant form of Christianity throughout the continent, the churches are losing their popularity in most of Africa. A younger generation is seeking out the more modern congregations that emerged starting in the 1970s that are still uniquely African in worship style but closer theologically to Pentecostal or mainline Protestant groups in the West.
Comments: Mixing Christianity with paganism is not of God. If you claim to be a true born again Christian, you cannot remain in such a church congregation. If you do stay, you are disobeying God. Dabbling in witchcraft, magic and evil spirits (all demonic in origin) grieves the Holy Spirit Who indwells each believer. One must give up all vestiges of the pre‑born again religious affiliation. 2 Corinthians 5:[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The question begs, “Why would any new believer hang onto his/her religious roots and try to blend paganism with Biblical principles?” One has to wonder if these African people are still in spiritual darkness. Perhaps the Gospel hasn’t penetrated their hearts and convicted them of their sins. To continue to practise the old ways and proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord is somehow not going to sway God’s court. God knows their soul’s state; we don’t, however, their fruits show an allegiance to the Devil which is contrary to what the Holy Bible says and God’s Word is infallible. 2 Corinthians 6:[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial?
