Olmert: Israel Will Have To Surrender Golan For Peace With Syria
Source: AHN
13 February 2007 – Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday that Israel will have no choice but to part with the Golan Heights if it ever wants peace with neighboring Syria.
"The whole world knows that in any future negotiations, if they are renewed, we will have to give up on the entire Golan Heights," Ha'aretz quoted Olmert as telling the committee.
The remarks came as part of a heated argument with committee member and opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu.
Olmert charged that during his tenure as prime minister, Netanyahu had held negotiations with Syria based on the premise of ceding territory on the strategic plateau. Netanyahu denied that he had ever intended to comply with Syrian territorial demands.
At any rate, Olmert reiterated his opposition to renewing negotiations with
Syria at this time, pointing out that Damascus is "interested in the industry of
peace, rather than real peace."
Comments: Giving the Golan Heights back to Syria would be the biggest mistake Israel could ever make. The Golan is a very strategic location and the Golan in Syrian hands would be a greater threat than the status quo. We all know that as soon as Israel withdraws from these strategic Heights, Syrian troops would move into position as fast as Hezbollah did when Israel withdrew from Lebanon. Barak is still being blamed for that mistake. We can’t forget Gaza either and even today we see the results there. If Olmert thinks that this move will bring peace with Syria, then he should listen to the majority of voices in Israel that would tell him differently. But these leaders will not listen to reason and once the West Bank and Golan is given away then reality will set in when peace is suddenly turned into a war of survival for Israel.
Any time Israel has taken what is rightfully theirs (land) they have been blessed and the opposite can be said for giving their land away. Yes, we have seen the results (both ways). Israel is heading into trouble and this time it is not because they are slack, you see, the land is already theirs. This makes it all the more dangerous and the consequences will be…Jacob’s trouble.
Jos 18:3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
EU sanctions cannot stop Iran bomb, memo says
Source: EUobserver
13
February 2007 – EU foreign ministers
have clinched a deal on sanctions against Iran over the country's refusal to
halt uranium enrichment. But an internal EU memo suggests sanctions can do
little to stop Tehran from getting the bomb.
Ministers meeting in Brussels on Monday (12 February) agreed on "restrictive
measures against Iran" in line with a UN security council resolution adopted
last December.
The EU sanctions
will: ban the supply of enrichment-related goods, technology or assistance;
block Iranian officials linked to the nuclear scheme from traveling to the EU;
freeze the assets of bomb-related institutions and stop Iranian students abroad
from studying enrichment-related subjects.
But before the EU gave the green light to the measures,
the ministers received an internal memo from EU foreign
policy chief Javier Solana which argued that international diplomatic pressure
and economic sanctions have proved ineffective in changing Iran policy.
Technical limitations rather than diplomatic pressure have so far
delayed the completion of the country's nuclear programme, the paper said
according to the Financial Times.
Comments: If there is any leader out there that would know the situation with Iran, it is Javier Solana. Solana has met Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani more often than any other international leader and knows what Iran’s real intentions are. In fact, Solana just met with him only two days ago. Solana says he held "constructive" talks with Larijani. EU sanctions will take a toll on Iran and maybe even slow them down a little but the point has been made (by Solana) and further restrictive measures will not do the job. If Solana is saying that sanctions will not stop Iran, then you can bet that Israel and the U.S. will be taking notice. Any other leader stepping up out of the crowd and saying this would have their words swept under the rug in short order; however, Solana’s memo is now news that will be noticed. EU Memo: We Can't Stop Iran Bomb, Sanctions won't prevent Iran nukes - EU, EU worried about Iran nuclear bomb.
If the EU is worried about an “Iran nuclear bomb” then you know how Israel and the U.S. feel about the situation. The question now is what will be done about it?

February 13, 2007 -- Unidentified flying objects are everywhere suddenly, from Florida to Chicago to North Carolina and Ohio, not to mention in the skies over Phoenix, Arizona where a phenomena that was called "The Phoenix Lights" was witnessed recently again, eerily close to ten years since the last time they were last seen.
On February 6, 2007 residents of Phoenix looked upward to see strange lights over Phoenix once again. The military, as it did last time, called the objects flares. It was allegedly military flares that a retired Air Force pilot saw in Florida recently as well, coincidentally.
Whether the explanation of what is going on is flares or not, something is certainly going on, as video keeps coming in of strange hovering rows of lights in the night skies. Militaries everywhere must be dropping flares, even in the UK. It must be international flare testing month or something like that, huh?
Why are we suddenly witnessing a massive surge of UFO observations? Perhaps it's a sign those of us watching for the return of Jesus Christ should take more than a little note of.
Luke 21:11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Comments: Coincidentally, UFO sightings started to increase in numbers the very same year (1948) Israel was reborn as a nation. It seemed that Satan’s demons became agitated that Israel rose from the ashes just as the Bible’s Old Testament predicted. Let me state that in my opinion, there’s no intelligent life in outer space. Jesus came to Earth to die once for sins (and not to die for sinners on other planets). Romans 6:[10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. The UFOs that people claimed to have witnessed are most likely demonic apparitions. Demons hover in the atmosphere above Earth’s surface. They also inhabit the underworld and walk on the surface of our planet. They’re not extraterrestrial but terrestrial beings. Satan and his cohorts control the airwaves. Ephesians 6:[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. UFO abductions are probably demonic possessions. Little green aliens are manifestations of demonic beings.
So, why are UFO sightings everywhere these days? Luke 21:11 gives us one sign of Jesus’s soon return. We are living in the last days. If people are knowledgeable about the Bible and end times signs, they would look up and be encouraged that their redemption (of their physical body) is drawing near. Instead, many believers have become rooted to this sin stricken world as earth dwellers doing their best to clean up this planet and make it a more hospitable place for sinners and saints alike to live for another 20,000 years or so. Instead of looking up for the Bridegroom Jesus to rapture them to Heaven for the wedding to come, many of the body of Christ are less than enthusiastic about attending the marriage supper of the Lamb. The Devil has clouded up their Christian worldview so that they’re no better than the lost and perishing. The vast majority of Christians aren’t watching and waiting for their Lord’s return. There are too many Marthas and not enough Marys. Service for the Lord ought to be secondary to spending time in His presence and wanting to be where He is currently and that’s in Heaven. Luke 10:[39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Are you prepared for ‘American Hiroshima’?
Source: Family Security Matters by Paul L. Williams, Ph.D. and Lee Boyland
February 13, 2007 -- The death of Alexander Litvinenko by radiological poisoning points to the possibility that the former Soviet spy may have been involved with Islamic terrorists in the preparation of tactical nuclear weapons for use in the jihad against the United States and its NATO allies.
Litvenenko, a former KGB agent, died in London on November 23 after ingesting a microscopic amount of polonium-210. In a deathbed statement, Litvinenko blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for the poisoning - - an accusation which the Kremlin has vehemently denied. The denial is fortified by the fact that polonium-210 is a very rare radiological substance that is man-made by bombarding Bismuth-209 with neutrons within a nuclear reactor.
Litvinenko, who was born an orthodox Christian, was a convert to Islam with close ties to the Chechen rebels. His last words consisted of his desire to be buried “according to Muslim tradition.”
In recent years, considerable attention has been paid to suitcase nukes that were developed by U.S. and Soviet forces during the Cold War. Reliable sources, including Hans Blix of the United Nation, have confirmed that bin Laden purchased several of these devises from the Chechen rebels in 1996. According to Sharif al-Masri and other al Qaeda operatives who have been taken into custody, several of these weapons have been forward deployed to the United States in preparation for al Qaeda’s next attack on American soil.
Comments: I know this is old news, but ‘American Hiroshima’ remains a clear and present danger to the Free World. It has been 5 years plus 4 months since the 9/11 attacks on American soil and the next major attack is well overdue. WorldNetDaily owner Joseph Farah recently brought up the matter of ‘American Hiroshima’ so that Americans will not forget that radical Islam has in place plans to target U.S. cities with the largest Jewish population. If suitcase nukes are indeed in the U.S., then ordinary Americans ought to be worried and prepare for the nuclear fallout aftermath. We are not assured that believers will be raptured prior to such attacks. If we’re still here and we’re close to those cities nuked, what will be our response? How about cities and towns that weren’t targeted yet their citizens are in a crazed and panicked state? Can you imagine the anarchy situation where supermarkets and Home Depots are vandalized and stripped of all their food supplies and building supplies?
Normal law abiding citizens would be engaged in fistfights, gun shootouts, etc., as they claw, push, and punch their way through the mob to grab what’s remaining of bottled water, bread loaves, meat, fish, milk, eggs, radios, batteries, axes, candles, blankets, knives, flares, etc. We would be seeing a post-Rapture scenario being played out all over America. Christians who haven’t prepared ahead of time might turn against their fellow believers in securing the necessities of life. When one’s family’s survival is on the line, will our Christian testimony be up to the test? I’m advising all our readers to stock up (at least 4 months’ worth) on the basic essential items now rather than later. If the Lord does leave us here to endure nuclear attacks from radical Islam, we need to prepare now. It’s not a lack of faith in God that we ought to resort to such measures. It’s prudent to use our common sense and intelligence that God gave us to safeguard our families for perilous times are already upon us. Whether you’re a Post-Tribber or a Pre‑Tribber, God would want us to take practical steps to care for ourselves and our loved ones.

Minnesota Lutheran pastor gives talks on Bible prophecy
Source: olivetreeviews.org
February 13, 2007 -- Pastor Bob Cottingham is head of one of the largest Lutheran churches in North America. In 40 years of ministry he has not given a thought to the end-times. Now he is preaching a three month series on it. What caused this transformation? Could it happen to your Mainline Protestant church? When you hear Cottingham's story you will agree that nothing is impossible.
Comments: When you listen to Jan Markell’s MP3 interview with Pastor Cottingham, your spirit will be very uplifted. Like the joy you experienced hearing the public testimony concerning a person’s acceptance of Jesus as his/her Savior, you will become so euphoric upon listening to Pastor Cottingham tell his story of how the Lord awaken in him a pressing fervent desire to teach Bible prophecy to his large congregation for the very first time. You’ll feel the excitement about one mainline Protestant Lutheran church in the Bible belt of America doing something that its founder Martin Luther never taught about. Luther’s forte was sola scriptura and salvation is by God’s grace and not by works.
There’s a story (albeit unsubstantiated) about Martin Luther’s response when he was asked “If Jesus were to return any time soon, what would you do?” and Luther’s reply was “I would plant a tree.” That’s been the ammillennial, Replacement Theology position many Protestant mainline and Roman Catholic churches have taken over the centuries. Many don’t believe in a literal millennial rule of Christ and some don’t believe there’s going to be a 7‑year period called the Tribulation Period. Most have allegorized/spiritualized the prophetic scriptures which comprise 30% of the Bible. Most if not all prescribe to the erroneous doctrine that the Church has permanently replaced Israel and Israel is no longer the apple in God’s eyes. Many of these mainline denominations are now heavily into the social justice agenda. Sadly, some denominations that used to teach Bible prophecy (e.g. Baptist, Assemblies of God) have stopped studying prophecy. This is why upon learning that there’s a Lutheran church in Minnesota teaching prophecy and its church members giving it a warm response is so encouraging. We’re living in the end times and it behooves us to be watchers watching and waiting for our Lord to appear in the air to rapture all believers to His Father’s house of many mansions.
