Archdiocese uses the Christian fish symbol for homosexual solidarity

January 9, 2007 -- The Christian fish symbol is an ancient and sacred symbol for the persecuted Christians in the 1st century, as well as contemporary believers in Christ. But that symbol which showed that Christians identified with each other in their obedience to follow Christ is taking on a whole new meaning. The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, as one of their ministries, ‘Ministry with Lesbians and Gay Catholics’ decided to make the sacred fish symbol into a rainbow fish symbol pin.
As most people know, the homosexual community has long used the rainbow as a symbol of their solidarity with the movement to legitimize homosexuality in their communities. From the Diocese’ own website, it states “See in the fish pin a sign of recognition of our lesbian and gay sisters and brothers. The pin signals solidarity with all people of faith who promote and inclusivity for every person in their faith communities.
Comments: Leave it to the gays and lesbians to hijack the classic Christian fish symbol. Unlike the Coca Cola and Pepsi trademarks, the fish symbol is free for all to adopt as their own without fear of being sued. In a perverted sort of way for gay and lesbian Christians to be accepted by mainstream Christianity, placing their rainbow atrocity over the fish is akin to someone putting his/her dirty finger in your glass of drinking water. The germs from that finger invasion will pollute the entire glass of potable aqua. Christians ought to protest such infringement of Christian symbolism. Let the gays have their rainbow, but leave the fish alone.
As has been stated here before, Christian gays = oxymoron. How can a person purports to follow Christ be practising immorality at the same time? The continuation of immorality in one’s life will reap severe consequences perhaps not in this lifetime, but for sure in the afterlife.

Howard Stern awarded $83 M bonus by Sirius

January 9, 2007 -- Sirius Satellite Radio paid Howard Stern a bonus worth nearly $83 million Tuesday for surpassing subscriber goals set in a 2004 contract that had already turned heads with its $500 million compensation package.
The freewheeling and ribald Stern joined Sirius one year ago, jumping from the FM dial where he rose to become one of radio's biggest stars but frequently bridled at government indecency regulations and ties with his corporate bosses.
His defection marked a turning point for the nascent business of satellite radio, with both Sirius and larger rival XM Satellite Radio paying millions more to sign on other talent and attract listeners to their subscriber model.
Sirius had roughly 600,000 subscribers when it signed Stern in 2004 for a contract valued at $500 million over five years.
At the time, analysts had forecast the company would grow to about 3.5 million subscribers by the end of 2006.
Sirius and Stern agreed to an added bonus in the event that the number of subscribers exceeded that forecast by more than 2 million.
Last week, the company reported that it ended 2006 with more than 6 million subscribers, at the middle of a forecast range made in December, triggering the bonus payment of about 22.1 million shares. Sirius closed at $3.76 on Tuesday.
Comments: Shock Jock Howard Stern is indeed popular especially with young people who are enthralled with his foul mouth and his irreverent profanity laced verbal potshots at Christians and the conservative right. The youth of today are rebels with a cause, i.e. to serve Satan. Like the old K.I.S.S. rock band, they are indeed Knights in Satan’s Service. Satan is the incarnation of evil thoughts and actions. The rebels and mavericks of today are fuelled by his diabolical influences. Howard Stern has made millions for Sirius and that’s all Sirius looks at, i.e. the black ink bottom line. Don’t preach to Sirius about morality and ethics. Sirius cares only for its stakeholders and its customers. Let the Moral Majority rave and rant about the moral declension that has gripped America these days.
The blasphemer Howard Stern (a Jew) is treading on thin ice. Like many of his Jewish brethren in the arts and entertainment industry, he has not only rejected Jesus as Messiah and Savior, but he’s leading millions of impressionable young people down the broad road that ends in the Lake of Fire. Does he even care? I seriously doubt it. He’ll relish in his $83 M bonus that he will leave behind when he meets his Creator God. What will his millions of ‘blood’ money do for him when he stands before Judge Jesus? New UN Chief Ki-moon and EU’s Solana agree Middle East peace issue has to be resolved "rapidly"

January 9, 2007 -- UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana late Monday agreed that three issues, including that of the Middle East at large, should be dealt with "rapidly."
"We have three main geographical problems that we have to tackle, and tackle rapidly," Solana told reporters following a meeting with Ban. They are the Middle East, Darfur and Somalia in Africa, and Kosovo.
"Within the Middle East, I would like to insist as strongly as possible, that we have to tackle the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians. I hope very much that he (Ban) will also play an important role in invigorating the Quartet," he said.
The Quartet, made of UN, EU, US and Russia, may meet later this month, he said, on the sidelines of the Paris Donors Conference for Lebanon.
"This must be for us a priority of great significance at this period of time," he added.
He said the two officials are also concerned with the situation in Lebanon and called for the resolution of the Sheba'a farms issue as quickly as possible.
"I insist very much that following the resolutions of the Security Council, the question of Sheba'a farms has to be resolved, the sooner the better," he said.
"We need to solve problems. We don't need to talk about the problems... This is the spirit in which I'm going to work, in which the new Secretary-General is going to work," he said.
Comments: Like many of you out there, we’ve heard this before and we tend to dismiss it as another “urgent” plea for Middle East peace. It seems that every article is stressing rapid this and rapid that. Going back to the Summer of 2000, we all were sitting on the edge of our ergonomically designed computer chair with bated breath eagerly counting down the hours and minutes to see whether a bags under the eyes “hasn’t slept in 36 hours” U.S. President Clinton could pull off the Deal of the Century by getting the unyielding Yasser Arafat and the equally stubborn Israeli PM Ehud Barak to forge a comprehensive Middle East peace accord. It never transpired and we continued with our lives. Then came along another article of the same genre and we got rather blasé about it. Seen it, been there too many times before.
It has been God’s Holy Spirit who has impeded Middle East peace so far because of the answering of the prayers from Christian Zionists (true supporters of Israel). But, God’s prophetic timetable of events will proceed as foretold in the books of Daniel, Psalms, and Revelation. That point in time might be arriving shortly as Jesus will give the shout and the last trumpet will sound and all real Christians will be raptured to Heaven prior to the start of the Tribulation Period. Shortly thereafter, globalists Ki-moon and Solana can reveal their mystery man of peace, the world’s long awaited Antichrist. There’s a saying, “Be careful about what you ask for because sometimes, you might receive it and regret it later”.

Bush's Rush to Armageddon

09 January 2006 – George W. Bush has purged senior military and intelligence officials who were obstacles to a wider war in the Middle East, broadening his options for both escalating the conflict inside Iraq and expanding the fighting to Iran and Syria with Israel’s help.
On Jan. 4, Bush ousted the top two commanders in the Middle East, Generals John Abizaid and George Casey, who had opposed a military escalation in Iraq, and removed Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte, who had stood by intelligence estimates downplaying the near-term threat from Iran’s nuclear program.
Most Washington observers have treated Bush’s shake-up as either routine or part of his desire for a new team to handle his planned “surge” of U.S. troops in Iraq. But intelligence sources say the personnel changes also fit with a scenario for attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities and seeking violent regime change in Syria.

…But there is also a clock ticking. Blair, who now stands to go down in the annals of British history as “Bush’s poodle,” is nearing the end of his tenure, having agreed under pressure from his Labour Party to step down in spring 2007.
So, if the Bush-Blair-Olmert triumvirate has any hope of accomplishing the neoconservative remaking of the Middle East, time is running out. Something dramatic must happen soon.
That something looks like it may include a rush to Armageddon.
Comments: I don’t think that Bush is rushing towards Armageddon I think he may be trying to prevent it. Iran is the country that is threatening to destroy Israel and once they acquire a nuclear device they would use it. Bush and Blair don’t have much time left in office and the fear that they may have is that their predecessors may not have the nerve to confront this growing threat from Iran. Some would argue that Mr Bush should give diplomacy a chance and hope that Iran backs down from their project but like North Korea, Iran is bent on the bomb. In the news there are clear signs that both Israel and the U.S. have plans to take on Iran and it is looking more and more likely that a future strike on Iran will be coordinated attack. Any country in the world would defend their citizens if they were being threatened by a mad man and Israel is no exception. The U.S. is right to stand by Israel’s side. Yes, something dramatic must happen soon but it’s not a rush to Armageddon, it’s a rush to prevent it. No matter how you look at it the inevitable is coming sooner or later.

Ban Urged To Weigh In on Middle East Conflict

09 January 2006 – In an attempt to seize on the momentum created by the new U.N. leadership, European diplomats yesterday tried to push Secretary-General Ban into a deep and early involvement in Israeli-Palestinian Arab diplomacy.
After meeting Mr. Ban yesterday, the European Union's foreign-policy point man, Javier Solana, told reporters that he hoped to convene a high-level meeting in Europe as early as this month between Mr. Ban and top diplomats from America, Europe, and Russia, hoping to revive the steering group known as the quartet, which oversees the so-called "road map" for ending the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict.
According to American officials, however, Washington remains skeptical on a quartet meeting so early in Mr. Ban's term, which began on January 1.

"Within the Middle East, I'd like to insist as strongly as possible that we have to tackle the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians," Mr. Solana said after his meeting with Mr. Ban yesterday, adding that he hoped the new secretary-general would play a "strong role" within the quartet.
Europe is "going to
call the first meeting of the quartet soon, probably this month" at
the sidelines of the January 25 Paris donors meeting on Lebanon, Mr.
Solana added.
"This must be for us
the
priority of great, great significance in this period of time."
Comments: Update;
Not even two weeks into his new job
and Javier Solana is after Mr. Ban to dig in and involve himself in
Israeli-Palestinian Arab diplomacy.
Javier Solana sees this conflict (Israel – Palestinians) as a main
priority in the world and must be tackled as soon as possible. The
quartet meeting at the end of this month (that we read in the news 2
days ago) looks to be Solana’s initiative and he hopes to involve
Mr. Ban and other top leaders and revive this group’s involvement in
the peace process. Javier Solana is steering the steering group (The
Quartet).

Pope says Iran should be cooperative

January 9, 2007 - Pope Benedict XVI said Monday that Iran should cooperate with the international community to ease concerns over its nuclear ambitions, and North Korea should avoid any action that could hurt talks to resolve its atomic crisis.

Comments: Well, I guess that will just fix everything right? The Pope says Iran should cooperate, so that means they will? HA! The president of Iran hates Christians and Christianity all together. He wants to wipe Israel off the map and soon enough he’s gonna try and do just that! Iran has no intention of cooperating with anyone in regards to its nuclear ambitions and programs. They are dead set on having nuclear technology and the technology to create weapons of mass destruction. Hello, President Bush, where are you when we really need you?
Secondly, the Israeli-Palestinian agreements is beyond ridiculous. Israel does not need to give her lands to anyone! That is the Holy Land and it belongs to our Father in Heaven and His chosen people. None of this will end well, at least until the Lord comes back and takes control. Come Lord Jesus!

India: Anti-Christian attacks mark new year

After launching several anti-Christian attacks during the last week
of 2006, Hindu extremists went on to beat more Christians, vandalize
vehicles and organize a protest rally against a church, dampening
New Year celebrations.
Extremists beat four pastors and vandalized a vehicle in the north
central state of Uttar Pradesh state on Tuesday (January 2). They
attacked two more Christians and damaged another vehicle in
neighboring Madhya Pradesh state, while others staged an
anti-Christian rally in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, the
same day.
At midday on Tuesday (January 2), around 200 members of the Vishwa
Hindu Parishad (VHP or World Hindu Council), attacked four pastors
of the Brethren Assembly church in Indrapuram, near Delhi, Uttar
Pradesh. The victims, identified as Samuel John, George Thomas,
Abraham George and V.P. Paulouse, received internal injuries.
“We were attacked while we were distributing tracts on God’s love to
the local residents,” George told Compass.
Comments: This is truly sad, and nevertheless will continue to happen until the Lord comes back to take control of this world. Christians have been under attack since the days of our Lord and from here it will only get worse. The Bible tells us that Christians will be persecuted to death when the Tribulation comes and that day is rapidly approaching I’m afraid. Always remember to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, someone is always in need of prayer.
